Ordered and received (brackets, crossmember and ziplock bag of hardware)1 of 2. Waiting on arms. Not sure as there is no id for bolts, washers &nuts. But ,I may be missing a couple pieces of h/w.
Also I failed to realize Core4x4 is open M-Th. I started fitment of the drivers bracket. Holes marked, drilled pilot holes and the 1.5" hole. Get a face shield and hearing protection long sleeves. Lots of metal and disc dust.
@@madmacc040 Hey there, were you able to get in contact with someone to see if there is anything you're missing? If you reach out to sales@core4x4.com they can figure it out with you & get you taken care of. :)
@@core4x4fabSo I was/am missing hardware. After a couple of phone calls, K.S.from sales reached out with a reply to my email about the hardware issue. I suspected that I was sent the XJ hardware package not the ZJ. This evening, the 28th I got the package from Core4x4. 2 bolts , 2 washers and 2 flagged or tabbed nuts. With no thru bolts. K.S. has a pic of the initial set of hardware with only 2 long thru bolts It's clearly for the XJ. Please touch base with K.S. to check for an email from me. I really love to complete this install soon.
OK! Finally, I received all the proper/correct hardware for the frame brackets. Mounted the brackets onto the framerails. -Issue number 3 or 4 - The supplied tabbed nuts (7/8 or 24mm) will not hold up to the recommended torque value of 160 Ft.Lbs. Tabs distort severely when applying the 160ft lbs. of torque. -Issue 4 or 5. Crossmember droops too low. When mounting then C/M to the L/A brackets, the trans mount has a 1-3/8" space from contacting the crossmember. If i put a straight edge on the oem crossmembers mounting surface for the frame and measure down to the trans mount surface, the distance is 2-9/16" vs. 3-5/8" +1/4" the thickness of the brackets= 3-7/8". Way Too Low!!!!
Thanks for letting us know what you're looking for. I will let the boss know that we will have to get another ZJ in the shop so we can show the full install with the brackets!
I just bought this kit after breaking a short arm in half, I'm excited to see the quality and capability of the long arm kit on my 1998 5.9. If I still had my lift I'd love to do a full install video but I don't think I'll be able to swing it in the driveway.
@@core4x4fab I did get it installed. I have a 1998 5.9 and ran into a few odd issues but it's installed. If you want pictures or info on what I ran into let me know.
Should the component hardware include 4 tabbed nuts? I only received 2 in the bag. Difficult to determine if I ha e all the required hardware. Instructions would be great, reference material on the Core4x4 site or on paper. Please and thank you.
Yes a full install video would be great for everyone I've got a 98 I'll donate to the cause it's been parked for about 2 years waiting on me to put link arms on it 6in lift on 33

It's a very nice piece of kit there,
Thank you! We definitely love it.
Thanks for posting. I’m planning to do this to my ZJ this summer.
So stoked for you!
Yes full install video
Can you make a xj kit for the rear suspension to go to 4 link ?...
I like the fact that you use true Johnny joints and not some knock off joint.....💪👍👍
The whole reason Core 4x4 was started was to put quality parts into peoples hands, even better when it's for those who really appreciate it!

Oh I need a full install video. In fact I'll let use my zj!
If you can get it to Utah, maybe we can work something out!
Id like to see a "how-to" for the ZJ long arm. I ordered the front long arm upgrade for my 98ZJ a few days ago. Do these kits come with instructions?

Sooooooo when’s a Grand Cherokee WJ long arm kit coming out???
Exactly. And a complete kit, w shocks springs. Lets go. I can buy elsewhere
I'd like to see a full install of your kit on a ZJ.
We need to get a ZJ in the studio. Anyone in Utah have a ZJ that needs a long arm kit?

Uuuuuuh yeah I’m waiting for one too, I’d like to do a core 4x4 instead of the other brands
@@TheAngryHiker ya me two.iam running there short arm kit with 6inch lift .but would love to have a set of long arms from them two
Haha, ok, ok. We'll get on it. Any preferences on design?
@@core4x4fab I like the way you done the zj long arms .that way we could run a 3/4 link in the front.
We'll have to get creative in the rear
Will these link brackets work with frame stiffeners? More worried about the rear since it sandwiches the frame rail
I have a 95 zj with a 4 1/2 inch RC short arm lift. No rust if you need a model for your video 😎
We'll keep this in mind :)... Are you in Utah?
Real. Could use a. Video on install. Been calling for a week. To get help. Bolts are either to long or to short to go through frame. Please help
I had to stack 4 washers on the rear top bracket bolts if that's the issue you're having.
I apologize for not seeing this comment sooner! I am hoping you were able to get ahold of someone over there to help you out. Have you been taken care of?
And what is length for the rear long arms the upper one and the lower one?
I have a 97 zj with a 4.5" short arm lift. If Gabby wants to swing these old ones by Ann Arbor MI. let me know!😁
You have a long arm kit for the ZJ!!??!!??
When will it be available? I’m not seeing it on the website
@@AndersonOffRoadandAdventures Let me talk to our website guys & see when that'll be up :)
Is it possible to purchase just the rear kit?
Is the front long arm kit usable as a 3- link? Any experience? No room for the right top arm in my ZJ.
It can be ran as a 3- link, yes. We do recommend reinforcing your axle mount if you do want to go that route.
OK.Thank you for the Info. I'll Order one matching to your rear long arm i got already😎
@@core4x4fabwhat is your recommended minimum thread engagement?

is cutting off the front lower control arm bracket required?
Yes, as is cutting off the rear lower control arm mount. There is no going back.
Exactly, you need the clearance for the lower control arms.
Don't see wrenching flats on the arm. If, in fact there are none,it would be a whole lot cooler if they did!
my zj has a socket in the frame...
😆 We just kept finding them.. so many surprises.
