Our company Curtis Elliott Designs helped renovate the visitor center and it was an awesome and inspiring challenge . Glad to see the nice feedback for such a wonderful historical place. Keep on exploring!
I've been there!!! I visited the dam when my family went on vacation near at Smith Mountain Lake! Liked your musical choices for this video. Thanks for sharing, Smell N Roses!
Peakbaggers For Cancer This is very close to home for me, I've been going there since I was kid. I thought the musical selections were suited to checking out something man made. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Massachusetts Prepper "Phenomenal" might be a bit overstating it, but it is a pretty neat place to visit, and there is a lot of stuff to see and do in the surrounding area on the mountain itself and around the lake. Thanks for watching and commenting, really appreciate it!
Just what I needed at work tonight, to watch another great Smell n Roses video! Plus, I'm digging the music in your recent videos. Take care my friend!
***** There is actually a lot to see and do around Smith Mountain, I think you would like the area for fishing, hiking, and camping. Thanks for watching!
I’m sorry you were not able to visit. That’s sad and pretty ridiculous. Most everything in Virginia is nearly back to “normal” and open. Thanks for checking out my video!
jai prakash Singh Glad you like my channel and thank you so much for subscribing, I appreciate your support and I hope you enjoy more of my videos. I subbed your channel as well, looks like you have a lot of great videos...I enjoy seeing all those places from around the world that I may never get to see in person. Thanks!
Hi. I'm not sure what you mean by "FC" but I'm pretty sure I don't live there LOL. I'm not much of a fisherman either, sadly that is something I never really learned to do. Glad you enjoyed the tour of the dam at Smith Mountain. Thanks so much for watching!
Neat place SNR have you ever seen the turbine power plant in side a dam like this there massive it hard to think water can move one I had to do some work on a turbine blade unit that had a bad baring race I had to work over 30 hr getting it on the cnc lathe and doing the programing when I got it done I got to go see them put it back in at the dam very cool
willy bailey Yeah the turbines are massive. I've not had the chance to see an actual working turbine, but they have one on display in a picnic area, I should have included in in this video but I didn't stop at that area on this visit. I am sure that was a cool experience for you to work on one and then get to see it re-installed at the dam. Thanks for watching and commenting!
It was cool the first time lol but the the company I work for got known for being able to work on them I get about 3 a year now the first one was over 16 years ago
willy bailey yeah well I know what you mean...I've done and seen some really awesome stuff at my job too...it's awesome the first time, after that it just becomes more work lol...
