Fatherhood and family are important, and that it takes precedence over anything else you do in life, agreed! Then, wasn't being with the family when his dad passed on, equally important? I think it actually happens with a lot of people. My grandfather died when I was 11-12 years old. Even though we didn't really connect that often due to living in different cities, it was a really sad moment. It was the first time that someone important in my life died. And I really couldn't cry at his funeral, felt uneasy but not even a single drop of tear. Don't know what the reason was, maybe that it was my first time at a crematorium, but I felt really awkward that day.

my father passed away when i was 11 years old. my grandma passed away after few years(she was the most important person to me after my father)but i went blank i didn't cried. i don't know why.i had my 10th board exams back then.

I think it actually happens with a lot of people. My grandfather died when I was 11-12 years old. Even though we didn't really connect that often due to living in different cities, it was a really sad moment. It was the first time that someone important in my life died. And I really couldn't cry at his funeral, felt uneasy but not even a single drop of tear. Don't know what the reason was, maybe that it was my first time at a crematorium, but I felt really awkward that day.
