@northlanderdude I'm honoured that you would ask, but I'm afraid it's not for sale. It's simply a LifeLike F40PH ($29.99 at the local Hobby/Toy Store) that was originally painted for Amtrak. After a swim in the Brake Fluid Sauna, a few cuts, shaves and whacks... and, ahem, a thoroughly ridiculous amount of work... there it is. I suppose I should have used Kato, but, jeeez, $29.99 leaves enough money for beer and pizza - extra mushrooms, even. But thanks for the compliment!
Kevin Biegler It started life as a Con Cor Santa Fe dome obs, with a bit of cosmetic surgery. The centerline top taillight was cut away, the 'teardrop' tail tights were cut away and replaced with scratchbuilt versions more closely resembling the VIA HEP II period, the skirting was sanded smooth and shortened, and interior window blinds were added. Decals were MicroScale. And I drank a lot of coffee.
hey Rik do you mind if I ask what you used to take cut off the top taillight? also what grit sandpaper for the side aprons and then did you have to repaint it?
makes me want to model VIA in N!!! Looks amazing!
I like the F40PH-2, NICE work !
Looking good
