You are an angel for us confused olive skin tones🤌. Thank you for making this series. Next up please make a video on Red and Wine tones. As for me, I have found two shades from Plum matte liquid lipstick range that suit me very well, Silly Chilly (red) and Cocoa Mocha (brown). They are neither too warm nor cool, very neutral leaning but not true red or brown , if you know what I mean. It is tough to explain😅. But the problem is the lipstick itself is very drying in nature and almost feels like cement after a while. So now I'm in the hunt for similar shades in a hydrating formula. I hope that my search ends soon🤞.

I used to be a warm tone girlie but I've realised that mauvey cool tones do look better on me. My older warm brown lipsticks make me look jaundiced but the cooler browns with a hint of pink look better! I guess my "eye" when it comes to makeup is getting better and I'm not blindly following makeup trends or what we are told would look good on us. Thanks for the video!

I have the same skin tone and undertone as you and right on thw money, I love muted, greige shades on me so much more. A dark brown with burgundy undertones looks so much more cohesive than a warm chocolate brown and the mismatch is noticeable if the brown is more on the nude and not vampy side. I think you should look into opacity as well along with undertones. Swiss Beauty's coffee and dark brown both look great on me but a lighter brown in the coffee shade would make me look jaundiced.

I also experience similar dilemmas repeatedly, only to use lip liners to use up the shades that don't match my undertone. Like mine, your skin is also more radiant with cool-toned lipstick. Honestly, I think I would be well off without about 50% of the lipsticks in my collection, but I simply can't part with them because that would mean pouring my hard-earned money down the drain. Well, the silver lining in all of it is we can casually just wear berry tones and call it a day. 😁

I think Bright vs Deep would be really helpful to compare! Deep seasonal palettes rely a lot on contrasting skin and hair, so many Indians look best in Deep palettes - with black hair, a little depth in a lip colour looks more balanced even if the colour actually isn't too light (like with some of the lighter nudes you wore here). Deep is slightly muted, too! But not super greyed out. I think you'd really like Style Me Jenn's channel, she explores these intricacies in a lot of detail. Keep up the great work! 😆👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Having neutral-warm skin doesn't equate to warm seasonal colours looking best - there's more to colour interactions than just matching or harmonious colour schemes, and makeup is usually more about adding ✨️contrast✨️ So it makes sense to me that you gravitate towards cooler lip colours. As an equally muted neutral-cool girlie, I use a lot of muted warm ones!

As a someone who has muted cool olive undertone and identify as a Soft Summer, there isn't much representation of that in the Indian beauty space imo so this is really very helpful!! ❤

I had same problem too Besite 😭 warm colours washed me out crazily I bought the famous swiss beauty matte lipstick " bare" only to look like I applied concealer (now I use it as colour corrector)😭 cool tone redish purple tones only works for me...😞 Can you try the new Swiss beauty select Eyeshadow pallette?👀 I heard some people talk about it as it had the typical korean style shadows

I go for more cool toned pinks and neutral reds. Gave up on browns coz they all seem to wash me out 😅
Although a very interesting take, this probably isn’t a fair comparison of whether cool vs warm undertones suit your skin when the shades being compared also differ in depth of shade.

That’s quite impossible for a normal person like me. This video is meant for regular people who own a few cool, warm and neutral shades of a color. These shades are accessible for everyone and they’re also quite popular/best-selling.
Plus an advantage of having brown skin is that any deeper shade of any color will look cohesive on my skin. That’s not a fair comparison either.
@@yolked_ exactly… the fact that the cool toned shades were both deeper than the warmer shades doesn’t particularly help with this analysis since deeper shades look more cohesive on brown skin. But interesting concept nonetheless.
