Chris! I LOVED the Sloth sticker from Goonies. ❤️ You are a cool guy - solo weekend warrior like myself, pursuing things that make you most happy. Thank you for sharing your discoveries.
That little sweat bee was beautiful! The ones I see around my area are typically the little yellow and black ones. Love insects that have iridescence, though. Thank you for sharing another amazing video with us, Chris. Some day it would be my dream to spend a weekend exploring with you. You should host events. Even if it wasn’t an “exploration” event… I’d still attend. Maybe a “cleanup” event where we all clean an area of litter. Idk. You have a growing audience and you have the power to do something like that. But would be cool to be able to meet you, and possibly others that love nature, and learn and appreciate the company.
Another excellent and informative video Chris! I really liked seeing that Luna Moth & also agree with you about the slime mold! Anyway, hope that you are doing well. Be safe out there! 👍👍
Gotta say, that slime mold was pretty dang cool. Looks like an amazing place to camp. With you on the scarlet wing, pretty moths. Your millipedes have tricked us into thinking we found a snake while shining rock cuts.
Lol, those millipedes are a ton of fun, imo. I love the cyanide ones the most, though. Those moths are beautiful. I went camping in the Pines again (big surprise) and set up the light traps. Once again, barely anything showed up. I am not sure why my traps don't really work out in the Pines. There are a lot of insects there, but idk.
You are correct about the female Dobson Fly. One landed on my neck after the sun went down and immediately took a sample. I don't know if she was curious or hungry but she did draw blood. You have produced another great video. Keep up the good work. Thank you.
Ohhh so that's what I found on my flowers. It's slime mold. I thought someone threw slop in my garden. It didn't look like the little mushroom ones but just a mass of goop
That’s the second time you and ‘my wild backyard’ have featured the same insect. This time it was the Dobson beetle, I’m sure you’ve been hanging out together 😂😂 Great video. What an amazing array of insects.
I’m happy you found an American Millipede ☺️ I’m now tempted to put up a light trap and see what we find. I live in the middle of nowhere, and it is dark…it would be interesting to see what shows up.
Beautiful!!! I’ve seen a flat centipede at least 10inches long Ishigaki island 🏝 part of the Ryukyu island chain off Japans south east. It fell onto householder Head walked around shoulder and didn’t even know my mother and I were speechless and just pointed and screamed ! It got away safe !!! We didn’t visit again. Many insects living among humans until the government made the area an airport 😢. Lots of giant black spheres on the beach Looked like volcano rocks or black coral ! Sad to see destruction by humans. Now their destroying oldest coral reef up northern part of Okinawa for USA marine base! Was does human advancement = destruction ???
Awesome Chris thanks
You are VERY welcome!

Slime molds are so cool! Loved the shots of the Luna Moths, too - great finds.
Thank you, I love Slime Molds! 🤗
Dude you’re the GOAT
So....I didn't know what that meant, lol. Wow, thank you very much!

Glad you enjoyed it! And yeah....slime mold is amazing!

And yeah, I am very into slime molds!
Excellent story telling, Chris, as always! So many cool insects. The Luna moths are so magical!
Hi. Thank you so much for saying that. Maybe I should do that a bit more often, idk.

Oh wow, that must have been quite the surprise! Must have hurt, too. Thank you very much for the compliments, Marty! Really appreciated
❤️👍

Lol, I swear, it is total coincidence. Spencer is a good guy and he and I have very similar interests.
5:17 is that poison hemlock or wild carrot? The moth in the middle was concealing whether there was a red flower in the center
It was Queen Anne's Lace from what I remember. I will have to watch the video again, when I can - lol

True, but imagine tying all them shoes ;)
@@chrisegnoto omg so true!
Came across your channel Googling tree frogs. I love nature. New Subscriber. Read your about page. Sorry for the loss of your wife.
Thank you so much. What kind of tree frogs are you looking up?
@@chrisegnoto No particular kind really. Just tree frogs of Florida. I hear them in the trees at night at times here.
