Right on the money. She is avoiding the dogged criticism and denying the negative nancys any space to hate. This is for her die hard fans only. The rest can kick rocks. She learned from her first rodeo and is moving in a new direction.
Exactly I said the same thing on twitter days ago. Like ppl hated the roll out last time and she said bet im doing the beyonce method make good music drop it and be done 🤷🏿🤷🏿🤷🏿 no singles put out some visuals and no press the ppl that get it will get it and the ppl that dont not gonna listen or hate listen and still stream
Hi all!!!!!!!! I agree. Solid body of work. Can't stop listening to it. So proud of her sonically and musically. True musicians/music lovers will get it. ❤❤
I’m sad but I’m also relieved a little because I got too much going on in my life and I wouldn’t be able to attend 😭I don’t want to say that I missed a Chloe tour
My issue is that people say they "love" and are "fans" of Chloe but they don't really pay attention or support her acting & music projects. Chloe announced this album at the beginning of the year & has promoted throughout this year on her social media platforms, red carpets, the 2 Weekend performances she did at Coachella. Real fans have known about it but the masses do not care enough to actually follow her. Thank you for sharing the receipts of how she's been booked & busy. Please share your full review.
Yes I said this exact thing! I was so confused when I saw everyone saying it was a surprise drop because she had been teasing and telling us about it all year 😭
Chloe is a once in a generation artist. Her vocals, stage presence, creativity & her personality, she is a star, it was always meant to be. "Trouble in Paradise" shows a Chloe that is more mature, but not only that, one that went through so much and came out on the other side. She created the album in St. Lucia, a place that has become her happy place. And you can clearly hear it in all the songs, even the more emotional ones. There's a sense of freedom and "I'm doing this for me, not to please you" vibe to this album, which I think is amazing and honestly admirable to see. Her courage to allow people into her world again after last year is something i can see NO other artist doing. She's a real life phoenix.
I Loved The Album!!! "Sidenote" I Think Parkwood Does Amazing By Keeping Chloe BOOKED. She Has Several MAJOR Endorsement Deals Including Pepsi, Pandora, American Express ETC. Alone With Her Movies.
Parkwood be doing their job its Columbia that needs to give her the budget. After their deal is done I hope that they stay will Parkwood and leave Columbia. Meg is signed to Roc Nation but is totally independent from a record label.
I'm so proud of Chloe. Ngl, I was not a fan of the last project but this one is a vibe for me. I'm so excited to see her grow because she is IT whether the public agrees or not. She has the vocal ability, production skills, writing ability, stage presence, and beauty/appeal to be the best.
I feel like this album is closer to what she originally intended the first album to be. In Pieces didn’t make sense as a whole after releasing Have Mercy, Treat Me, and Surprise. I like the first album but I’m loving the second album.
This is it. Everything you said was straight facts. People nowadays have so much to say about these artists and most of those same people have 100% no knowledge on the industry or music in general. I’m glad that Chlöe took the chance and dropped the music with short notice because she’s letting her music speak for itself. Chart wise, Chlöe will soon have a hit on the charts! Because she keeps working on her craft. She has the R&B album of the year (in my opinion) 🔥
Above everything else, let's treat Chloe with grace, regardless of the outcome of any numbers. The music is good, let's enjoy it and show her that with our words and support.
I'm with you 110% She set the bar high with her sister, to see her go back and give us (no shade, not tea) something that sounds exactly like everyone else out right now, didn't quite resonnate with me but I understand the value of finding your own lane, experimenting, being young, and wanting to be trendy. I'm just excited to see where she goes.
The somberness you are describing of "In pieces" was due to the heavy cyber bul*ying she went through last year, she originally meant to release a different kind of album, but felt "In pieces" was more accurate to how she felt at the time. Unfortunately, the album was misunderstood by everyone which only added to her mental health.
She was more quieter this year and let her work speak for itself, just like they used to talk about Beyoncé, and she started letting her group members talk, and became quiet through her solo career
Small note: Parkwood is (among other things) a record label, an imprint of Columbia Records. Columbia funds it and makes executive decisions but Parkwood still operates as a label for Chloe and Halle
I just went to listen to the album...*Chloe MUST release a music video for Favorite ft. Anderson .Paak!!*🗣 Matter a fact that song should've been released a bit earlier because it such a fun summer block party type of song! It's giving family friendly fun in the best way possible. Like double dutch, marching bands, college football, bbq's. I need the dancing tiktokers to come out of hiding and make a dance for it! She also needs to let commercials use the song its literally so freaking fun!! Like a soda commercial where she comes out, winks at the camera and takes a nice drink and smiles...do y'all see the vision?
My assumption is if there wasn't a rollout, it probably had more to do with Chloe's aspirational fans constantly pressuring her to adhere to their ideas of what her artistry should be. Every time the Bailey sisters do anything, it instantly gets picked apart and Beyoncé gets blamed. So I'm not surprised that her team waited until the work was ready to announce. There's less time for people to drag it.
Spot on! I also think less exposure is beneficial and will be cost efficient. As an artist today unless you have baggage/drama in your life you are considered boring. Let the art speak for itself just as someone like her mentor Beyonce does or someone like Sza. I think this proves she doesn’t have to put herself in the limelight in interviews to have a presence. She could go live on something like discord for her Stans and leave it there. Otherwise I’d perform, make music, and post beautiful photos 💯👌🏽🔥 The Album is 🔥🔥🔥🔥 btw
what keeps her name alive is very much her personality and talent, even if I don’t love every project she appears on I’ll tune in because the girl has that X factor, maybe even detrimental at times because the expectation can be high
I love this album. I’m playing it all the time every day. I was aware she was working on something but didn’t know it was coming out so soon. Glad she put the recent singles she has put out and performed on it so it doesn’t feel like last album with a bunch of disconnected random singles that didn’t even make the album. So I think those singles were part of the rollout. Boy Bye is great and clearly the politics aren’t working In her favor cause I could see a song like that being everywhere. Clearly she didn’t have a lot of budget for videos but I think it was creative to do these full length visualizers instead of the short repeated loops so there’s actually something to look at when you play the song on TH-cam. I hope she gets some actual choreo videos and more dance performances of some of the really upbeat danceable songs.
Im enjoying her new album. I also went to the In Pieces tour. She also did a movie with Peacock. And Chloe announced her album title at Coachella so people been waiting all summer
I highkey disagree with your statement that Boy Bye is the stronger song out of the two singles…I respect it bc that song is so theatrical and fun but FYS is still top 3 after listening to this project, it gives me the same vibe as her earlier songs like Have Mercy or Treat Me but make it euphoric
Herby, please do a full review! I’m so proud of Chloe because I knew this sophomore album would be a hit. Trouble in Paradise is cohesive and great world building. I’ve listened to the album once so far but have 4-6 favorites. You can visualize what keeps her or the character in a toxic relationship. It’s relatable, emotional, and sensual. In addition, I love her new collaborators. The production is insane. Keep them! Chloe is and has always been a star. It’s about time more people realize it. My Favorites (So Far) 1. Want Me 2. Nice Girls Finish Last 3. Same Lingerie 4. Free Falling 5. Shake
the themes and sounds of In Pieces resonated so well with me personally as a young black women starting university at the time I'm so excited to grow with a body of work of hers again
People are insane, Parkwood is placing Chloe in places that many new artistv aren't capable of seeing, Grammy's, GMA, Today Show, Coachella, and other TV shows an events, Beyonce is promoting her by way of placing her in high-end spotlights, see the bigger picture. I loved her first project, as i do this one, i don't know why people are so hard on this woman
I didn't appreciate Boy bye initially, but in the context of this album it finally clicked. The songwriting is fantastic, great usage of her vocals and the conventions of that type of 2010s pop sound. Just a fun quirky song that really deserves love
Full review PLEASE!!🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 This album was so great! This is also coming from someone who is a fan of Chloe, but just did not enjoy In pieces. This album is so rich and vibrant and diverse in sound but in a way that still feels cohesive. Idk how to describe it but it feels like eating 5 different fruits all rolled in to one. An explosion of musical flavor. The genres she explored, RNB, pop, Afrobeats, dance, she did it to great effect.
You are so right! Don't sleep on BEYONCE ! She gives Chloe and Halle both freedom to explore their God given talent. Now as for CHLOE pure STAR sadly y'all WON'T know that until years later when she's almost 40 ! CHLOE girl let the naysayers have their day TODAY. But someday they'll be some of your strongest supporters ! Still listening to Redemption btw stay YOU !
… I mean honestly I’m not even on social media and I’ve known about this album for a couple months now lol 😂 … I think she said she was dropping it in a interview somewhere around Coachella time didn’t say when but I knew it was coming .. and from what I heard there wasn’t any media promotion by her own decision she talked about it in her lives
Ohh I quickly took a listen and I love how it gives a Irreplaceable pop r&b sound to it because I was just thinking this morning I miss hearing that sound as I’m driving around
This album is leaps and bounds above In Pieces. That debut was so lackadaisical. It was boring. This? This has real playback value. And the initial listen was fun. But also it should be mentioned that Chloe & Halle’s deal with the label was for six albums, including solo projects. So after Halle drops a solo album, they’ll only owe their label one album as a group. They got that advance so long ago … I think Chloe pushed this album out quickly because she needs to go back on tour to make money and she needed new music to do that. It’s all about getting to the bag.
She said she's not going on tour this year and is focusing on her film projects and her well-being. I don't think she is that strapped for cash. The advance was only 1 million split between two people ten years ago. 500k in LA only lasts like 2 years. I dont think the advance money is controlling their business decisions. Both girls have had succesful film and television careers outside of music. Their acting careers are connected to both Disney and ABC, so I think they're ok. I also don't believe In Pieces was boring. In fact, one of the biggest critiques people had was that it was not sonically cohesive enough. I think that at least half of the songs have major replayability. In contrast, a lot of big artists just have one pushed song that plays on the radio, but their album is trash. If her label (Columbia) had pushed one song on that album hard, it would have succeeded.
@@khemikims4058no lies told! Idk how people can even say In Pieces was boring! It was so complex that most just couldn’t get it! The vocals the songs like please!!! That album has more replay value than MOST mainstream artists tbh
I agree with everything you just said! I see growth in every area with this project. The production, composition, vocals, storytelling. Chef's kiss 👌. She did a really good job!!! I'm a 27 y/o male from South Africa 🇿🇦 and I gravitated towards the versatile production the most. The stand out song for me is 'Want Me' 😭yho, she's lettings us know that I'm a Writer and Singer before anything.
This album was such a huge improvement from her last 😢! Definitely sounded more Chloë & was way more cohesive then the last one. My favorite songs was "Boy Bye" , "FYS" , "Redemption" and "NGFL" 🩷 Overall, Chloë still has a lyrics issue. Her dilevery of some explicit lyrics sounded comical & unserious. The production and her voice will always be there, just needs a compatible writer imo .
It’s always Herby’s energy for me. ❤️💎🤩 This was an incredible review, I share many of the same sentiments. Chloe will be one of the greatest artists of all time if she continues improving and putting in the work- she’s amazing.
full review, made to the public... haven't really tapped all the way in on your channel yet, but the few things I have dived into I'm liking what I see and hear!
How so? 😢 It's a real good body of work. Of course some songs are "meh", but overall the production and lyrics tell how much growth she's experienced as an artist.
@@ayattolahgcwabeThe lyrics was fine. However unfortunately the album was just meh to me.. Chloe is much to advance for (Parkwood).. She be alright tho
Yes!! Chile I was finna be GAGGED if you didnt like this album, cuz she did her BIG ONE! Chloe definitely found her sound for this album which is pop & R&B she found the right beats to complement her voice and this album was more cohesive!! She has heal singles on this album! I wouldn’t be surprised if it goes platinum
Let me just say might as well is in my top and never let me go like 😭😭😭😭😭 and her and halle ATE DOWN like the MUSIC IS THERE AND SO IS THE VOICE sis was in her lower register bag 😭😭😭🤧🤧🤧🔥🔥🔥🔥
Chloe should’ve added For The Night, Surprise & Treat Me to this album! It would’ve fit!! I added it to my playlist anyway as it all flows bc why not. But she’s definitely did her thang on this. It’s grown, s3xy & fun all in one.
SHE DID WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE 😭😭😭😭 like do she have cameras in my house what is my younger sister goinf thru she had me bouncing ass and bout to cry 😭😭😭😭😭
Chloe's debut was so disappointing precisely because it was painfully average and like every other girl singing about the same damn thing. She was supposed to be a different creative, hopefully this new work (which I was not even aware of lolzzz) is better
hi herby! i love u, u are too cute!!!! full review PUH-LEEZ!!!! i could listen to u talk and have critical thought (on anything really) for hours. u are so inspiring. sending u nothing but love and support boo 🫶💗🪄
I enjoyed this album so much more than the first one. I wish this level of growth for Normani’s next project. I actually forgot Chloe announced a drop until seeing your upload on my feed. I had to go run and listen to it first. My next wish for Chloe is writing growth. Love her down but the lyrics feel too.. simple? Like I get it sis your legs are up and open and these 🥷🏾s keep whispering sweet nothings in your ear and wasting your time 🙄. For instance, I feel like the song about her rose could’ve been more creatively written, less explicit. One of those songs that uses creative writing devices so well you don’t even realize what the real topic is l until your second or third listen.
Aww I actually felt like Rose was a love letter to herself and the toy. I love it as is. She says this album was like diary entries and the songs were giving that. Lol
Chloe was heavily critiqued but she took all in her stride and showed the world what she can do she is brillant wished she would go back to her very beginning with her sister....incredible
Everyone slept on Boy Bye fr! 😭 It also had a LOT of competition with both Nasty and Expresso also coming out that same weekend. They all released at that time so they could perform it during Coachella
In Pieces as a debut album really grew on me, i think Trouble in Paradise is a good follow up and is very solid, I just wish we had another single or two and then the album release to build up hype, sad she isn't touring in 2025 even with this album. I hope we get some performances ❤
Right on the money. She is avoiding the dogged criticism and denying the negative nancys any space to hate. This is for her die hard fans only. The rest can kick rocks. She learned from her first rodeo and is moving in a new direction.

I loved Redemption
@@katechipata9934oh Redemption is the best track on the album and it’s way too short🧎

The album is solid and cohesive. Loved how each song flowed.

Overall, Chloë still has a lyrics issue. Her dilevery of some explicit lyrics sounded comical & unserious. The production and her voice will always be there, just needs a compatible writer imo .
Full review.
Now I’m gonna go listen to future nostalgia. Never have but I trust this creator. ❤
Happy to be your one thousand liker of the day ❤ You’re like Zach Campbell’s son to me lol
It’s always Herby’s energy for me. ❤️💎🤩 This was an incredible review, I share many of the same sentiments. Chloe will be one of the greatest artists of all time if she continues improving and putting in the work- she’s amazing.
It takes blog like this to lift her name up too. And you did a good job at speaking on her visionnn!
Chloe new album: Get off of our necks with these bops please 🙏🏾
I can't breathe
Yess we want a full analysis🤭
full review, made to the public... haven't really tapped all the way in on your channel yet, but the few things I have dived into I'm liking what I see and hear!
Listen to the whole album this morning. Chloe definitely wants out that Parkwood contract.. 😂
Brilliant commentary. New to the channel and I love it here already! 🫶🏼
The album is good yall. She did her thang!!!
I’m ready for the full review!
Yes, to full review 🕵🏾♀️
Herby!!! the thumbnail outfit not matching the video outfit gives me whiplash. ENOUGH!
Herbyyy!!! I thought of you when she dropped. I was curious about tour thoughts. I do feel this album is growth!
FULL REVIEW pls and thanks luv u and your analyses
Let me just say might as well is in my top and never let me go like 😭😭😭😭😭 and her and halle ATE DOWN like the MUSIC IS THERE AND SO IS THE VOICE sis was in her lower register bag 😭😭😭🤧🤧🤧🔥🔥🔥🔥
That introduction deserves a follow😅 cuz you got me interested
i can’t wait for chloe and halle to start making music together again 😭
Chloe should’ve added For The Night, Surprise & Treat Me to this album! It would’ve fit!! I added it to my playlist anyway as it all flows bc why not. But she’s definitely did her thang on this. It’s grown, s3xy & fun all in one.
They should’ve made the first record along with have mercy
SHE DID WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE 😭😭😭😭 like do she have cameras in my house what is my younger sister goinf thru she had me bouncing ass and bout to cry 😭😭😭😭😭
Chloe's debut was so disappointing precisely because it was painfully average and like every other girl singing about the same damn thing. She was supposed to be a different creative, hopefully this new work (which I was not even aware of lolzzz) is better
Same I 100% agree
I knew the album was going to be good when I heard FYS
hi herby! i love u, u are too cute!!!! full review PUH-LEEZ!!!! i could listen to u talk and have critical thought (on anything really) for hours. u are so inspiring. sending u nothing but love and support boo 🫶💗🪄
Love this album. ❤ we need this album to get the attention it needs.
It's up to fans to push the album via word of mouth, posts etc.
Love this album she did amazing!😊
This album is FLAWLESS!! I'm so proud of her for not letting the hate mob hold her back!
I been streaming her song Boy Bye ever since it came out
I enjoyed this album so much more than the first one.
Lol
Full review PLZZ the album was amazing 😍
Chole belong to Republic Group. Her success awaits there..
she should do a tiny desk if she doesn’t tour bc this is amazing going to be a top 5 album easy
We want the full album review ❤
Chloe was heavily critiqued but she took all in her stride and showed the world what she can do
she is brillant
wished she would go back to her very beginning with her sister....incredible
YALL!!!! Artists do not do traditional roll outs ANYMORE! Beyonce changed that years ago. The album is out so enjoy it. Stop complaining.
so. so. so good. srsly so much good music rn cuz let's talk about alligator bites never heal! the girls are girling
Everyone slept on Boy Bye fr! 😭 It also had a LOT of competition with both Nasty and Expresso also coming out that same weekend. They all released at that time so they could perform it during Coachella
Full review I cannot stop listening to this album
I feel she’s finally being herself. This album gives A lot of water energy which is her element. Very effortless. I feel she is coming into her own
album inspired by the beautiful island of St. Lucia
Made a lot of great points here man!!! I’d be interested to hear your thoughts on Tinashe new project when it drops
i cannot stop listening to rose
You did great Herby! ❤️
In Pieces as a debut album really grew on me, i think Trouble in Paradise is a good follow up and is very solid, I just wish we had another single or two and then the album release to build up hype, sad she isn't touring in 2025 even with this album. I hope we get some performances ❤
