Definitley my favorite episode of the entire show. I like how at the start it makes him out to look like the coward who is about to betray them all for his own survival. Only to turn out he’s the actual hero.
I’ll say Torrin actually did nothing wrong that said I don’t think most people would have had the balls to stand against the rest of the crew and ability at psychological manipulation to pull what he did.

Surviving crew was horrible. They were literally willing to sacrifice countless innocent people to save their skin. I am glad that they have found what they deserve…
it's easy to say such in your warm confortable bed behind your screen, it's way tougher to make this decision after seeing this monster decimate all your crewmate.

Really excellent episode, and showed off the best of what the show can offer. A glimpse into a world that pulls you in right from the word go. This world was fully fleshed out, and an amazing genre mash. It felt truly like some gothic Shelley novel. It’s clear the captain was calculated, but trying to do what’s right. And did anyone else think the young boy might be his son?
Something about the similarity of their faces, the fear and relief on the boys eyes when it looked like he would shoot the boy, and the special consideration he seems to give to the corpse. I’m not sure, it’s just a theory

IMO this vignette has the best lighting, materials, animation and story out of the entire series, everything about this one is top shelf, and I came away remembering this one more than any other in the whole show, the cinematography as well is super super focused and tight, they did an amazing job truly!!!!..
I *loved* this episode, and the only thing about it that I would change is the ending-I wish it was _longer!_ I wish after we saw Torrin paddle away, we got a closing scene of him as an old, weathered man, telling his story to young sailors at a pub... something like that, just to give the story more of a solid close. The ending we got was great but just left me wanting more.
I've been reading Neil Asher because of this. Fascinating episode. In the books the Prador (crab creatures) have advanced tech, but I liked that the tech here was very basic.
Holy shit. Pure undistiled LDR. Directed by Fincher himself no less. If this is what's in store for S3 then wow. At least one Ep is saved compared to the snowflaked S2.
Damn, the monster use one of their crew's corpse to interract with him, by make the corpse like a puppet (put the tentacles inside the dead man's body and linger in his neck to make it sound and move, even his body already in half). The part is my favorite.. even it's scary. The corpse used.. from still fresh until got rotten.
Writing of this episode was outstanding. So grim and brutal. Ye all episodes of "L,D & R" are gory, but this one had enough amount to not go over-board and feel natural. Btw was the first crewmate eaten alive ? I believe he was still screaming shile being consumed.

Watched all 3 seasons, mostly enjoyed all 3 seasons but out of all of the episodes, this and Good Hunting are the only ones I've watched more than once. And the fact that everyone I know that has watched this show all have their disagreements, non of them can say that Bad Travelling wasn't a great episode.

This was a pleasant surprise. I dropped the series some time ago over running into too many boring or woke episodes, but seeing this made me go check it out again. Sure enough this was thoroughly enjoyable. Here I was thinking Korean movies were the last bastion of original media that didn't suck.
