@your_antagonist Ship will need to do some orbits before being realigned with Starbase trajectory, so plenty of time to put back the booster on the OLM or even out of the pad, so to me, it's possible to do it without the second tower
2025 promises to be an epic leap for humanity. When both ships return to Earth this will be a first. A first step in revolutionizing the space industry
I imagine the ship will target its bellyflop just off the coast, then reorient via flatspin during descent to point its nose at the tower, that way the flip will also translate the ship towards the tower. The lower flaps are seen folding in during past flips so will remain as such during catch, with the catch operating very similar to SH beyond that point. (perhaps with more horizontal component though)
I have seen some technical mistakes in the video, but beside of those - nearly all of them were observed in the last few weeks - the video is perfectly animated!
The aft flaps, they're in the way, I didn't think of that! Honestly, I think they'll traverse rather than turn to claer the flaps. Hovering is easier than rotating...I think.
We also saw that when super heavy landed it didn't come in from straight above the tower so that it wouldn't hit it if it failed, I'd imagine we'll see something similar for the ship
Very cool stuff! Only unrealistic part was the turn as it was being caught, the flaps would likely be stowed as it comes in for the catch so a turn to avoid the flaps wouldn't be necessary.
Fun. Like the last second turn so the flaps clear the arms. The fine control needed for the catches seemed too much to expect but the booster 5 landing proved it was do-able
Excellent animation!! (Only issues are these) IFT-8 will launch from OLP-A. OLP-B won't have the SQD or OLM by then. Where is the ships engine shielding? S34 won't be flying with R3s. (Same goes for the OLM) Ship will likely be caught by OLP-A.
I'm not up to date with flight 8 but I think that starship is supposed to be caught with the same tower in the future. The booster would be caught and placed on the launch mount and then the arms would raise up and to the side of the booster to catch starship which would then be prepared to be re stacked. Great animation 👍
I don’t know if they will attempt to catch the booster on flight 8 might just catch starship and have the booster land in the sea just to ensure the tower is intact.
Awesome! However, you got the reentry angle of attack wrong - reason the new forward flaps are smaller is because the ship was at too steep an angle of attack already. Small thing to correct for your next vid!
I dont think they will use the 2nd tower to catch it, depending on when flight 8 launches, what i reckon they'll do is lower the booster onto the transport stand, then catch the ship.
I don’t think they’ll try to catch it in flight 8, they’ll probably put it in orbit and land it somewhere near the launch pad, if everything goes well then they’ll probably try to catch it in flight 9 or 10, depends on when will the pad B is fully operational.
@maria.olteanu For Mars (and the moon too), I believe they will still develop some landing system. Small landing legs + reaction control system (RCS), for example.
@@cboy-ou2hr They showed that with the booster, and the last flight test, The Starship landed in the right place that they wanted. I see that SpaceX’s team has great changes of get it.
@@consolastv2380 great chance but nothing is guaranteed every test flight they push the envelope for what can be achieved however one iteration could lead to an anomaly while I do believe it will be successful this is a new design (block 2) that their experimenting with anything can happen.
Brilliant stuff as always!
What’s up Matt of Lowne Aerospace!
This is the first time I have seen a comment from a well known TH-camr with a small amount of likes and only 1 comment, interesting. Also Hi matt
sigMatt
The man, the myth, the legend, SigMatt
They not using the sec gen starship
The fact that we might see this in less than two months from now is insane
You think they'll have Pad B ready that quickly?
@your_antagonist ^ this
maybe late spring or summer

The plume from the flame deflector was incredibly done 🔥
The Smoke rendering at launch time is too good bro 😮😮

Very amazing to me , thank you very much Sir , good luck .

That’s fun! Hope the actual flight goes as smoothly as that! 🤞
This animation is incredible 😮

What a gorgeous render
Amazing! Incredible work! Just one question, why is the reentry plasma purple?
its can be a whole varaiety of different colors for millions of reasons that people smarter than me have figured out
booster catch flames are insane!
Excellent animation!!

We used to see this in science fiction movies. That this real thrills my 76 year old heart t no end!

It's supposed to be with block 2 variant 0:28
Ya
That square OLM scares me...

Do you think it's more likely they will put the booster on the mobile stand while the ship is travelling so it can catch the ship with the same tower?
Based on the time it took to verify the safety of the booster in flight 5, my guess is they'll get caught by separate towers.
What did you use for this animation
Good work bro!
Starship catched above the launch table..😂
Agora que notei, a nave precisara girar em seu eixo durante a captura para que os flaps não pegue na torre é isso?
Does it really reenter that vertically???!
no catching in flight 7?
you think the ship will turn at the end like this?
I don’t think the ship is going to spin 90° after flipping 🤔
The starship catch was a bit off but who m I to say how it will be 🙂.....you might have got it right......
Thanks 👍
I don't think it's possible to do this type of maneuver with the ship, it falls towards the tower just to brake and be captured.
@@EdsonJuniordjyes, because on Mars it will be without the tower 😊

That is not starship V2
Crazy ship last minute rotation for catch lol
not totally accurate but still fantastic visually.
Cool!
This one will have payload.
Nice animation, but this isn't flight 8
Yes it is! Elon said that SpaceX was gonna try to catch the ship in the 8th FT.

@@cboy-ou2hr that’s completely true! Btw, we have to watch first the 7th FT and let’s see how is going on with the V2.
Fake news?
