Did you know that holding a hammer also allows you to reroll any of your attack dice? It's written right after the part where it says you pay one power to use tactic cards, its just no one ever gets that far. In all seriousness I know it's a personal failing of mine but these rules mistakes that could change outcomes / decision making process really grind my gears. Thor didn't pay the tax for freyja's blessing, so he he had just enough power to throw himself to double tap voodoo the next round. Thought experiment - he doesn't pay for the reroll so he takes an extra damage giving Dracula another power to bump and hypnotic to get in the way of the throw. Is that what would have happened? who knows but these small errors ripple out. Then there is Loki who didn't pay the tax when healing thor, but he could have done the healing before picking up the hammer so it doesn't matter and i don't care (only bringing it up to show the difference in the seriousness of the mistake.) Then Drac doesn't pay tax for brace and thor doesn't get to shake the root (which matters less now that he has so much power but still)
Hello - thanks for your comments. Small mistakes happen in every game. It's just easier to spot them when you are outside of the game and looking in. Many people are suprised when they rewatch a recording of their games. Also, holding a hammer doesn't allow you a reroll - it just adds a die to your attack. Maybe you are looking at an older version of the card. Use Jarvis' Protocol to see the current version.
@@DrNorbertGames Nah just like people forget that you have to pay one before using tactic cards people just forget that you can add rules to the card because no one reads them. To clarify that was the joke about hammers. And just because small mistakes happens doesn't mean they are acceptable. Where do you draw the line? Incorrect dice pools on shocked or incinerated characters? Exploding crits on hexed? Not paying an extra for Root? Moving twice while holding a Senator? With the exception of a second move action all the other rule mistakes could do nothing, shocked or incarnated not rolling any successes, crit not converting, or having a lot of power, or could have a character take out someone they shouldn't or live when they shouldn't
