Good video, im new to lax and still struggling with dodging. This video effectively explains the strategy behind dodging....as a forward.
Keep it coming Patrick. Great work, as always.
Always!
Aye this is amazing. Gonna use this for practice today.
I’m gonna work on that rocker dodge and see if I can pull it off in practice, I get like 1 min of play time per game I gotta lock in
Thanks Patrick!
Practice starts next week
Welcome! I hope they help! Let me know if I can assist with any questions!
When I bounce to re attack should I square my shoulders to the defenseman or should I keep my shoulders upfield?
So, squaring up is to show like you may go underneath on the dodge, but the inside roll will be more effective and protect the stick better. If you’re dodging on a shorty, go ahead, but keep your stick protected when dodging on the pole. I usually step away and look up like I’m going to pass. To each their own though. It’s not wrong if it works. I usually think about stepping away and squaring a player up as something to be done up top or on the wing against a shorty.
