I never liked Scattershot versions historically because the -500LP can kill you overtime esp with Honest, Bora, and Kalut (and people only run 2 Quickdraw anyways). But the use of the discard traps really fixes a lot! Not only are they permanent removal of Royal Oppression instead of Trap Stun or Dust Tornado, but feed the Avarice consistently and chainable whenever as you said. I use two Hamster and three Debris Blackwing match ups because Bora piercing is a pain, but I'm interested in your feedback. Also makes sense you don't pull Dragion often because you don't run CotH which is usually the main combo piece.

@@christianlay-geng It just fundamentally doesn’t make sense to me to play a card like Quickdraw Synchron when the only good discards in your deck is a 2 of card which is basically not searchable unless you want to use the sangan on it. And you know your best Quickdraw target is Drill which is asking for a second discard to start getting its value. I argue you could just consider cutting QD and playing 2 other goodstuff cards and it’s basically just plant control. Like even sometimes I saw QD with no shell or dandy, and I just discarded it off one of my traps because that’s the best value it was getting at that point.
The lifepoints can suck, especially if you’re at a Konami event and they use new time rules, but also I’m playing trap cards so I have defense. I never find myself dying because I paid too much for shell, I usually lose when I’m out of resources, and if I see shell I can get resources, even if the cards is low value without a friend.
Blackwing sucks to play against but I haven’t found a QD list yet that finds that matchup to be easy. The discard traps could just be 3 raigeki break if you want permanent removal for any type of card as well.
The concessions for the shells were the third debris, the second hamster, and either another trap or something like treeborn frog which I also don’t hate in this deck. It is what it is. I was challenging people to a grind game with this type of list, and I was removing everything they were doing with the trap lineup so it was working. I could have different results with a longer tournament or better opponents.
