I’ve been playing this game since June 2021, I only played the first version, because “The Even More Incredible Machine” was unplayable because it had a password and it was German, I guess mostly a lot of MS-DOS games were made in Germany, but 5 months later, I tried playing The Incredible Machine 2, and it was a lot more colorful and also had more puzzles to choose from.
Actually, The Incredible Machine was a US game, so you likely had a German version in your hands. Many games back then used manual-based questions as a form of copy protection.
