I finally bought the blue dial Hruodland Turbine in the last AliExpress sales as it was down to $200aud. So glad I did as it's an absolute BANGER of a watch. I've been eyeing it off for like a year since I saw your recommendation so THANK YOU SIR.
I’ve never been interested in pilot watches. I got the AddiesDive pilot watch as it was so inexpensive, I’m really enjoying it and it’s making me consider others now.
I bought the hruodland turbine during June’s sale, 130 USD and worth much more. It’s great, with the fit on wrist, the finishing, all the details just make it nice to stare at. Keeps great time too. Only thing that disappointed me slightly is that the lume doesn’t last super long, but it is still very bright and it definitely wouldn’t have kept me from buying it
I love pilot watches, when I put the blue turbine pilot no logo aside my Longines bigeyes, Zulu time et weems chrono, I must say what a bargain and beautifull watch. 17cm wrist. Big but thin, finishing, dial execution. Some say boring ?. Just try it. And the 6497 runs within the cosc easily. A keeper. For sure. 200€ just amazing
I bought an unbranded Tandorio 39mm pilot style B watch as spare parts - I needed a movement for a custom build. Powered by NH35A TMI movement, all stainless steel, sapphire glass, screw down back and crown. I put it on my wrist just to see how the movement performs in "real world" and... two months later it is still on my wrist, "stealing" ALL the time from other "brothers" from my collection. I still cannot believe how much this "cheapie" grew in me! Yes, it is a WW2 Laco replica but I cannot afford an original legacy or, better yet, a Stowa. And my final point: a legacy watch and a replica should stay at the same table, since none is the original. I'd rather buy a Tandorio hommage than a legacy battery powered Atlantic or Longines.
I bought my wife the titanium version of this watch and it’s one of her favorites .. I always threaten to steal it from her and find it it is at that medium size that seems to work for us both. The aesthetic is spot on as you guys say. I’m just thankful that we have and Ali express available to us and it is a shame that some are prejudiced against not only homage watches but in Chinese manufacturing in particular. Those are the ones who loose out on this cool hobby sadly.
Nice list, James... sometimes, I just like the simplicity and straightforwardness of a pilot's watch. Your point about AE watches, especially concerning pilot style watches, is on spot. Thank you for your efforts!
Great selection, ive got that Sugess in blue with pvd gold case, a beautiful watch that i love, did see the watch it hommages, blanc pain aircommand last week, its my grail watch but its a lottery winning price unfortunately. So until those 6 numbers come up I'll be wearing the Sugess. Thanks James.
A terrific list, but I don’t think an AliExpress Pilot Watch list not complete without an Addiesdive MY-H2 Type A. I know it’s a IWC Homage, but like you said, most pilot watches are homages of something. Thanks again!
I love the military and pilot watches in particular the bronze ones look really good. your flieger video is one of my favourites and I have watched it numerous times thank you. Neil from Adelaide
I definitely recommend Tandorio, I bought a bronze blue type 2 Flieger and it was a great watch. Oddly, I didn't really like the flieger dial, so for £10.50 I bought a new green sandwich dial and hand set, swapped them and now really enjoy my ¨new¨ field watch 😁
Hi, thanks for your list. I have the Escapement Time type b and the merkur . They're both great watches, but I'd argue the Merkur is more of a field watch with its esthetics and 38mm case- but the line between the 2 styles is blurred, especially with the Chinese watches. I think your list is missing the Addiesdive 39mm type a. It was my first Aliex watch, I got it with the sterile dial (not sure if that's still available) and it's a very solid cheap watch that I still love- and I'm wearing right now
The Baltany isn't a Pilot watch, it's are retro style racing watch that is meant to be worn under the wrist. That's why the dial is at a weird angle. It love the light dial version of that watch and will probably buy one eventually.
SOrry but I'm not paying US200 / 300 dollars on a homage / frankstein or chinese brand. For that money I cant get a citizen a casio or something similar.

That’s fantastic. I love mine so much.
Enjoy
Some amazing pilot watches I have come across on Aliexpress
I am with you on this. I did not like Pilot watches but now I think they are rather pretty! Some really pretty pieces here! Thanks for sharing James!
I thought I was going to like field watches. But have not connected with them.
But pilot watches. Wow. Love them
I’ve never been interested in pilot watches. I got the AddiesDive pilot watch as it was so inexpensive, I’m really enjoying it and it’s making me consider others now.
I certainly know that feeling

I like the bigeye too. I’ve tried it on a bunch of times.
Thank you for a comprehensive list of options!

Hey James Pilot Watches are a must in every collection. My Citizen world time is my favourite but Ali Express does well in this category. Great topic.
Thank you very much. I can definitely foresee some more entering my collection
The Sugess “Air Command” is an awesome watch. Gets heavy rotation in my collection
They make some incredible watches
I own a Laco and it gets quite a bit of wrist time, ultra legible ,good lume and IMHO a great looker.
Thanks for WATCHing
Wearing my Tandario Murph at the moment... great video.
Thank you

Thank you. I think it make a lot of sense to consider AliExpress

We are all waiting for our numbers to come up. Hahahaha

Another great option. I actually had to cut the list down to 10. Otherwise it was going to be a very long video hahahahaha
I love the military and pilot watches in particular the bronze ones look really good. your flieger video is one of my favourites and I have watched it numerous times thank you. Neil from Adelaide
Thanks Neil.
I have another pilot video that I’ll make one day.
Now that I have a few and different price ranges it would be good to line them up.

I love that Baltany.
I’ll definitely be getting one. Might just wait for the next sale
Aquatico pilot watches including the Horizon Hawk.
Thanks for WATCHing
Great selection & good to see how different pilot watches can be. Even though most can have a generic look to them. Great video!
Thank you
Turbine Pilot is sweet.
Still my favorite
I have the sugess
It looks amazingly good, really well built, +10 seconds a day
Recommend it for anyone who likes chronographs
An amazing watch

That’s a great choice too. Brilliant value.
Been watching Gordon, Fred and Gino recently. Gordon always seems to be wearing an IWC.
I really like the IWC brand and their watches
Bronze keeps catching my eye lately
I’ve had a couple now and have really enjoyed them.
Hamilton khaki pilot pioneer bronze …. One the prettiest in my collection.
I was so close to buying one of these recently but missed out
Useful video, thank you.
Thanks for WATCHing

My name is Mike and I'm watching WATCHing James
Hahahaha. Hello Mike
Does the Escapement com with a band?
Yes it does. A really good one. I don’t know why their store does not have better photos.
Check out my review of it to see it in a bit more detail
Realy hard to decide, if there has to be only one.
I know that feeling.
Sorry, the page you requested can not be found:( ...... your links aren't links
Some links don’t work in some parts of the world.
Not sure why
Is the AR coating clear on the escapement time?
Yes. I think so.
There was no obvious colour on mine.
7:47 i like it but a bit too big for me
Thanks for WATCHing

There is a reason why pilots watches are the least favourite of all watch types, it's because they are the most boring and often just too big.
Thanks for WATCHing
Least Favourite? Which is why everyone makes and sells them..
Ps, why are you even here?
So that James can get more views.
Least favorite❓😁 pilot & field watches, second only to diving watches in the world...
