I've seen the finger lakes from flight, back to TO and always thought it be a fun place to check out. Wasn't expecting to see so many cottages or homes...but nice to see some camping sites are available. What a fun adventure, have a rocking weekend.
Thank you so much for watching! Glad you enjoyed it. It was a great trip. Driving thru the countryside side was as enjoyable as the time spent on the water. The 1st two days I was exhausted and needed a vacation.. I didn't plan on staying there but so happy I did. The lady that owns the campground is a sweetheart. Her campground is like an oasis that allows people to Camp and have access to that part of the lake. The Lake is 38 miles long and avg depth of well over 200ft. So it's dangerous...the wind swirls and changes direction in a second.. it can get bad pretty quick. But, I just tried to be smart...it was like a return to the roots where I just was able to enjoy paddling and just checked out the cottages and the skies which were the best I've ever seen. It restored me and from there I was ready for the rest of the trip. More to come soon! Greatly appreciate you taking the time to watch! Peace Brother!
@SouthernPaddler that lake is 38 miles long and avg 270 ft deep. Had to say no to Lake Erie on this trip...bad conditions. Very disappointed that I had to say no to Lake Ontario...same thing...although I ended up finding a calm bay at the end to get on it for a little while. This Lake is 38 miles long...the wind swirls all over the place...and alot of very close chop. I got the Grizzley for the tidal rivers...its great. But for these big lakes...I would have felt much better in my other sea kayak...this was literally the first two days with the Grizzly and wasn't used to it yet in the big water...that's why when I rounded that point and looked out at the waves out ahead of me...and how close together they were...I got off. My daughter was getting married the following week....not the time to take chances in water that's over 200 feet deep as the sun was setting...lol...this trip I think I actually finally grew a brain Lol....thank you for watching!
@CanoeCampClimb i love that whole region...love the water...the Amish farms...the great people. Perfect region for a more mobile trip where you spend a few days in different areas. The driving was every bit as enjoyable as the time on the water and such a big part of the trip. My daughter lived in Seneca Falls for a while so it was great being back in that area. The next one is the Howland Island Loop which was so overgrown with invasive plants and alge for miles on the Seneca Rver thru Montezuma back to the Erie Canal ..i didn't know if I was gonna make it outta there in 1 day! Lol...Toughest slog of my life. But in a sick way...really fun! Thank you so much for watching and taking the time...i always greatly appreciate your support, it means alot. Thank you!

Looks like a great adventure. I'm not a fan of lake paddling, but I might be if I had a Prijon Grizzly! Nice ride!! :)
