Hi mate, great footage. Nice to see some folks doing some good with their drones and capturing a bit of history that aint written in the books... It's fascinating to me how many advanced medieval cycles have been in England over the millenia. I like to imagine the old british cycles like the kingdoms of men from Lord of the Rings. They had very advanced tech, similar to our early 20th century tech. Let me tell you this, mate, these are not Victorian era, for sure. There have been many human cycles on this planet that lived, grew, advanced and then perished in periodic resets. Our true history is much more wild than any LOTR or fantasy book ever written. Let me focus on that last dam there. Not only did they have advanced plumbing systems, but they must have had advanced power tools too. Every one of those stones was machine tooled to perfection, and i can;t see anyone doing that without electric cutting tools. I dunno how old these structures are, but judging by the water erosion they are at least 500 years old. The pipe you saw there was probably an overflow control valve and the two valves inside were likely evacuation valves for the old power station that used to be on top. Many of these old dams had mills or hydro power stations built on or near them. The holes in the masonry stones are from fitting pins. These old structures used to have marble plates or other type of beautiful natural stone plates mounted with pins/bolts to the rough masonry. You even saw one of the fitting pins on the dam floor. The plates would have given the dam a nice white glow in the sunlight. These have fallen of or were looted a long time ago. You two are a bunch of nice chill people having a nice day out. I wish you great videos and i hope you visit some ruins or historic sites around your area because England is full of ancient architecture from previous cycles. Cheers!
Thank you so much for your kind words and excellent review on what we saw. I agree, we see clearly how this was from another time, another people, that's why we're so drawn to these sites. It had clear signs of destruction, and we saw it without realising until watching it back, but right at the end there we saw bent rebars, removed tech, and a lot of crappy modern-ish concrete poured everywhere! We're on the hunt for many of these sites, so hopefully there's plenty more to come... 👍
Great footage. Love your style
thanks that is the best video of Reservoirs i have seen
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it!
Lifting holes use with scissor like thing to position the stones.

I'd love to visit this site before it re fills.
We'll be back there at some point, still want to see some of the other old dams there and check out the Claerwen reservoir which is huge!
It’s a SV Valve .
