Car looks great. I have a 2000 93 convertible and love it. You’re right about the leather on the seats. Only problems for me on mine are some dinks and scratches on paintwork (silver), pixel failure on the display and the 5 bow micro switch on soft top mechanism. I’ve learn’t to live with these as fixing them would cost more than I paid for the car. I love driving mine with all it’s quirks especially scuttleshake, which you won’t experience on your coupe. Have restored mine in an autobody class over the last year, due to rust. About a year ago the ECM died and I realized that I could get a performance boost by swapping it out for a Stage 1 upgraded ECM (eEuroparts), which boosted the stock 185 bhp to about 230 bhp. Anyway, now it's like a rocket and only cost about $200 to buy on an 'exchange' basis. I think the early 9-3s are just about 1 of the best looking cars out there. Happy motoring!

Nice! In 2000 I drove a 93 coupe while I waited for my 2000 9-5 Aero to come in. Great cars. Now I have a 2011 NG 9-5 Aero XWD! Total shame to let the company die or should I say get killed off. If Saab was able to get away from GM and develop on it's own, I really think we would have some monster cars at this time.

I'm on my 3rd Saab (1998 900SE four door hatchback) that I just bought from my Saab mechanic (it was his wife's 2nd 900SE) in November 2017, who's owned 15 of them over the years. The other Saab that I have is a 1999 9-5 SE V6 turbo that's incredible. Back in 1992 I bought my 1st Saab a 1987 9000 turbo 5-speed that was a blast to drive that I stupidly sold and should've kept for my son. You're correct about eBay, you can't go wrong there. I've been buying all of my new OEM Saab parts from eeuroparts.com at fairly good prices. The paint on your car is STUNNING and looks like it just came from the factory. Is that original or did you have it repainted? It looks like a mirror, wow! You did a great job, and should offer your restoration skills to others for their cars. After seeing your car, I'm now convinced that I MUST have a coupe version. Thanks for sharing this bro.

THANKS a lot their really great cars you will not regret it , I used ibach springs and kyb shocks , I believe it was a inch and a half drop but if you're not sure just measure it that's what I did .

I know this is an old video but just wanted to say - nice work. I've seen a 2002 93 2.0T Coupe for sale and it seems really cheap for what it is... I'm very tempted if I can find a buyer for my Cherokee XJ! It's black too and looks good condition, but not as shiny as yours... bargain for under £2000.

I've got a 2001 2-dr that I still look at and admire every time I wash it -- silver, original paint that still looks great. Dreading the day I've got to buy something new. Are your hood/trunk emblems decals? My leather has held up great, except for driver-side bolster -- if you ever need to get it repaired, I used the fabric from the pouch behind the seat, so still looks close to original.

They are the 9-3 seats. The ng900 seats were flatter and the headrests curved down over the seat back in the 900.
