I don't know if this'll be helpful for you, but in IIST (TVM) you can do mtech and then placement and job there itself..

Mr. Ashish Ranjan your attitude is quite high . just think , who got a rank around 4000 , can complete m.tech from a Nit, then go for PhD at top IIT, he can get a very good Carrier, most probably better carrier thank 500rank student , who get a PSU job .

man i know a plenty of students who secure job greater than 7 lakhs even more than 8.5 lakhs(TCS DIGITAL+INFOSYS POWER PROGRAMMER) and in so many IT companies with a very decent salary package.as their btech college was indeed so good. So don't underestimate the multinational people. a lot of students after cracking their on campus job offer literally forget to appear in GATE. I hope you belonged to such a btech engineering college where companies never visit . So stop harassing people and this joking business, a lot many students even including me are quite happy with their btech placements and salary package.
A 2 year java devoloper earns 26 LPA in DELL , HP, like companies with their btech only. first know the entire spectrum then comment. our condition isn't that much serious as you had. we are pretty cool and smoothly can go for gate in next year.
Facts
1. 8.5 lack package is not sufficient in big cities like Mumbai and Bengaluru.
2. You are telling about good colleges where good placements exists, those people don't care about GATE and aren't watching this video.
3. Zero people got harassed by this video
4. You are not happy with your job and that is why you're are watching videos on GATE
5. I never talked about people getting more salary that 5 lpa.
6. Package isn't everything, government job gives good job security and personal life time witch is a better option for some

If you have 700 rank then you have capability there's absolutely no doubt about it. It's just the current scenario of GATE that is bad. You should definitely not quit brother because there's one thing I can guarantee, people who work hard never lose. I had 1825 yet I cracked 2 jobs much better than any PSU.
