While we are saved by grace, we are called unto good works. Salvation is not a “get out of Hell free card so you can resume your life of working to die.” Our salvation actually is composed of death, Jesus, and likewise ours to sin and the flesh and it is composed of resurrection, a new life given unto God. Our focus then changes completely to things eternal. We are called as believers to live a life continually devoted to the teaching of the word, the fellowship of a local body of believers, the breaking of bread(communion/sacriments), and prayer. All things Pastor Matt mentions at the beginning of this video are commands in the scriptures for those who have been saved by grace. The difference between what Matt says here and the Roman Catholics teach is that the Catholics believe that we are saved by our works, not for good works. They also institute the above four commands differently.

Sabbath keeping is a Hebrew roots heresy, raising up the old ways in lieu of just following Jesus. Going backwards instead of placing our faith solely in the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. btw your free mason masonic M hand sign didn't go unnoticed.
Do pastors ever realize the problem with saying, “You can’t live the Christian life on your own.” It’s like a baker saying, “You can’t bake bread without me.” There’s also the contradiction of saying, “ Jesus is all you need.”, then saying, we need a pastor, and. a small group Bible study. If we all just depended on Jesus for everything, he’d be out of a job and he’d actually have to work for a living instead living off of others charity.
I realize you are just venting and do not want an answer, but what your doing here is splitting hairs in frustration over sound teaching. Perhaps it would be better to phrase “you can’t live the christian life alone” to “we are not suppose to live the Christian life alone” or “we can not live the Christian life alone, as we should.” He is not saying you can’t be a Christian and do life alone, but that you cannot walk the walk as biblically intended, alone. And when all comes down to it, Jesus is all we need for salvation. But He appointed the pastors, teachers, evangelist, prophets, and apostles to equip the saints for the work of ministry, but what pastors equip the saints with is Jesus, the only thing they need. Like I said, you are thinking way too much into this brother. Another thing, I don’t know what your Pastor does, but if a Pastor does as he is called and is preaching, discipling, and shepherding the flock, his hands are full of work that God gives him. No man should look at a man divinely called to work for eternal things for the Kingdom of God and tell him he should be working for earthly things that are vain. Read Ecclessiastes. And a last point, “charity” is not the same as what a church gives a pastor. Our tithing is not charity, it is what we owe God, given to our local church for the work of the ministry (and the one in church’s who has most part in the ministry is the pastor if he is doing as he is called).

Will definitely be listening to this again. Thank you for the profound wisdom and rich theology shared in this Gospel message.

I am hearing a lot of Roman Catholic terminology of Works in the introduction of this video.
