Very helpful info.. Conditioning cut flowers is a fascinating subject. Now I know to soak my daffs before putting them in a mixed arrangement. Thanks! 🌞🌺
+John OBrien Thanks for watching! I'll admit I was a bit skeptical at first that it would make a difference, but it actually did! I was pleasantly surprised.
+Bob Lt (BobMel's Gardening) Thanks for stopping by! It's going to get a lot more flowery from here! It officially looks like the veggie garden has been replaced by flowers this year. Maybe one day I'll have enough space for everything! :) :)
I love daffodils! They really remind me of my Great-Grandmar.. She used to have her whole backyard full of daffodils. Sadly she is no longer with us but her sprit is within these flowers :) Great video! Thumbs up from me :)
+Kayla Brooking (KayAmity) LOL! Definitely a case of "Do as I say, not as I do." I may or may not be a little more haphazard in the garden than I should be sometimes :) :) :) Thanks for watching and commenting :) Hope you're having a great day! :)
+Charlie's Lifestyle I know some people might feel like it's not worth mentioning, but I always worry about anything I bring into the house. I think a little extra information is a good thing :) :) Thanks so much for watching!
There are definitely things I prefer not to even grow, like foxglove or monkshood. Off the top of my head, I'm not sure about the different types of lilies. I'm sure many (if not all of them) contain toxins. As I general rule, I always research before planting. I just feel it's better to play it safe :)

Well I guess you could plant edible flowers. Best wishes Bob.

Good tip about picking them before they open. I picked some dianthus that had buds in February, and got them to open inside.
+Midwest Gardener good to know! I'm trying dianthus for the first time this year! 😊😊
Congrats on 700 subscribers! Omg they are just so pretty!🌸
+Crystal Munford Woohoo! Thanks so much! Here's hoping for 700 more! :) :)

Good idea to mention that they can irritate skin and are toxic for kids and animals!!! They look so pretty!!!!!!!

+Nevena Krstic Thanks so much for watching! :) :) I love having fresh flowers in the house! :) :)
Good info, I did not know that Daffodils are toxic, thanks.
+Kevin Bradley I tend to always be on the cautious side with ornamentals. You'd be surprised how many of them are toxic to some degree.
I knew that Foxglove's and Lupins were toxic, are any of the lilies toxic ?
