One of the best things I remember about spring in the high country is the smell. The smell of dirt. The smell of the pine trees warming up. The smell of anything outdoorsy and growing. After a long hard winter with nothing but odorless snow it is nice to smell nature warming up again.
Pro ski wax tip: touch wax bar to iron to soften then crayon rub bar onto skis, then evenly melt the thin layer with iron on ski bottom…you’ll save a lot of wax and still get a great wax layer down on ski!
The ground water will definitely be replenished. Hopefully some showers come through in July and August. and really let's fire damaged areas grow. Thank you for sharing your world with us
Whoa! Me and my cat Luca sat right up when we heard the coyotes. A sound we both cringe to hear. Luca lost his brother, Myles, to one. Or possibly a mountain lion or bobcat. We had all of them here last year at the beginning of April. Thank you for the video. Good to see things are thawing slowly. It was pretty warm in Placerville today. Give the pups a pat for me.🐶🦮
Down here in Ventura County we just had a mountain lion attack another person's dog while on leash and the owner played tug-of-war with the mountain lion until the mountain lion let up pressure and then stared down the human. The dog owner intuitively knew what was next and she let off on the leash and the mountain lion took her 35 pound dog away never to be seen again. Now that is pretty dang scary!

Well said. We just started noticing the smells about 1 week ago.
It's amazing what a few days sunshine can do. What a beautiful part of the world to live in
agreed! We feel blessed to have landed here.

Thanks for the video. I am in Mexico for the winter and trying to decide when to return to Tahoe. This is very useful in making that decision
