The problem with Lionel train layous is that if you run more than two trains at a time...indoors...hearing protection is suggested. They are noisy, but then trains are noisy. Well, back up a second. Some time ago I went to see the refurbished Big Boy on tour. I stood 10 feet from the tracks when a diesel/electric came by pulling a bunch of cars. That engine was earsplitting. About 15 minutes later here comes the Big Boy at about 50 mph. I could have touched it and compared to the diesel it was really quiet.
The layout has a great balance of scenery, buildings, and functional track planning. Thanks for showing.

I could never have had such a layout because of 2 older and 1 younger brothers
