The Fish Eye Marine Park is really sad! I lived on Guam from 1988 to 1993 and it was called Pitti Bomb Holes and it was a wonderful place to go diving and snorkeling. I returned back in 1998 while serving in the Navy and found out they build that in a place that was precious to a lot of people.

I was there between 1987-1990. Agreed...that is sad. Looks like you can still dive in spots there I'm guessing. In the video you can see two divers at 2:36 walking out forwards the reef. Sure has change....

I was stationed at NAS Agana and lived at the Naval Hospital housing from June 1974 to December 1976.
Of course, the development was nothing like this and I loved the island, but the real issue was that the Guamanians HATED anyone who was not Guamanian.
My ex-wife was an American of Filipina ancestry, so any time I had anything to do with GovGuam I would have her go and there was less issue, but still issues because, although she was Pacific Islander, she was not specifically Guamanian.
Crimes committed by Guamanians against Pacific Islanders from other islands or against Statesiders were not prosecuted and I found out that, until 1968, the penalty for murder on Guam was a one-way airline ticket to California.
I certainly hope that the Guamanians have changed significantly in the 40+ years since I was there, but the attitude and conduct of the Guamanians during my time there made having pleasant memories of Guam unlikely.

not every Guamanian was a hater..... my three and half years on the island was enjoyable far more than not... met many local folks that were every bit as friendly as could be. I was stationed at NCS from jan 73 to july 76
