Just discovered your channel. Being a newcomer to this beautiful city, and an aspiring biker - I love your content. I live right next to the place you started your video (East Don Parkland Trail) so hoping to check out this route. Your channel deserves more views dude!
That’s a long ride man! I usually ride up the Humber River trail on my cross bike. I ride to the Old Mill and back on the trail. Only 40km total though lol. Good job on a mtb!
the concrete slab spot is a toronto bmx classic. btw love the new style, can't believe you did 100k on pavement in the early spring on a mountain bike at night!
Ahh that's cool I didn't know it was a BMX spot. It's fun tho. Glad you are digging the new style! It's been fun to do something different and they can only get better from here.
Omg I was riding on the Humber trail and as I came around the corner a deer appears. I slammed on my breaks and flipped face first over my bike.... Oml I have some crazy experiences on that trail 😬
Do you have an approximate google/maps route? If you use google maps, you can trace the actual distance and effectively, the entire route. I would damn well love to do it without traveling to pickering, or oakville, or newmarket and back. :D Yes, it would take time, however, it is worth it. Screenshot and publish in PDF (ultra scaleable). Libreoffice (or openoffice) can easily do that.
Check out my activity on Strava: strava.app.link/xDtTq5lR7V It's on my Strava. You can see the route there and try it if you'd like! Also the the Toronto Bicycling Network does a very similar loop called "the big loop" althought it's 80km.
@@GoodTrails Will have to borrow this route. Have yet to go across the Finch corridor. In Feb I did my first 100Km on a Fat Bike, and in April did a 200Km on another one, out to the end of the Hamilton trail and back (and some of the Don). But I think some variation of what you did, would be pretty challenging over the course of a day's worth of riding.
Lmao, brave of you riding some of those trails in the dark
Was still a little bit too cold for anyone to be living down there yet! But I still got a bit nervous any time I heard a rustle in the bushes! Haha
@@GoodTrails haha nice nice :p
headlamps are the best. Thanks for the videos. I don't have a bike right now and you are helping me be able to ride......mentally. Thanks again
Get a bike!
Good job man! I can only imagine how having to set up your camera for each shot adds to your time.
ALOT of time! But it's all part of the fun!
@@GoodTrails well it's worth the effort. Your videos are very watchable. I enjoy your conversational tone. Well done.

Thanks! Welcome to Toronto, there's so much to ride here - you are going to love it!

It was a slog but it was fun! Thanks.
This weekend is looking pretty good. Friday afternoon looks like the best day so far.(if the weather holds)
Right on! I'm trying to make a video a week. So planning my schedule around the weather is neccessary. Lets hope it holds!
Good ride, exactly what I am planning doing as well. Thanks for sharing!
Right on! You will enjoy it
Great ride, thanks for posting!
Thanks man! It was a bit of a slog riding 100km on knobby tires but it was still a fun little adventure.
That’s awesome!
Thanks Mi Lo!
Damn, 8 hours hey lol that's solid man.
I'm just slow lol
Awesome video, you should come to Milton, or if you need help let me know.
I will try and make it out this summer. If I need help, I will let you know. Thanks!

Hmm there's a pretty cool ride I did last year. Start from Niagara falls, and goes up to Niagara on the Lake
Yep - I did that one about a month ago but I started in St. Catharines. It was really good!
On this route, did you have to go on the major roads with cars or was it all paved trails?
There were crossings and a short stretch of road riding up near black creek area. I would say that it's 90 percent on paved trails.
Hey man, great videos, I have been watching your stuff quite a bit lately. Is there a GPX for this ride? I’d love to do this ride.
Google "the big loop toronto". You'll find an 81km loop and a 170 km loop. I rode the 81km loop and then added anothe 20kms.
awesome

Haha nice. There are a ton of them down there!
Cool video, I'm loving the story elements.
What do you use to map your ride and record the distance?
Thanks dude! Strava is the app!
Do you have a map where i could follow this trail as well? Thanks!
Google "the big loop" in Toronto and you will find it! It's a great ride
You should check out sunny side bike park and high park
Good idea! I will do that.
Welcome to my hood!
Nice!
@@GoodTrails I realize I probably should have mention my hood as being don valley north or Sheppard. There's definitely some secret trails up here
I believe a century is a 100 miles. 162 kms? I may be wrong about that.
I suspose this is a Canadian century!
What bike do you have? Thanks!
This was a 2016 Giant Trance 2.

@@JasonLeBel do it! There's a ton of variety on this one. I reccomend adding in some of the trails at humber bay as well.
100km is a metric century, 100 miles (160km) is a traditional century
