Just found your channel from a heads up from Hook, Line and Chill !!! Takes me back to fishing the Wabash River with my Grandpa Majors at the Age of 7 in 1960 !!! The Gar was always our bait stealers !!! Got to watch about 7 video in the last 2 days so I'll catch up with the old and new as the come out !!! I play an old D28 Martin plus about every other string instrument !! Playing Mandolin in our Bluegrass Jams now!! So Hello From Sebring Florida but my roots are from across the Terre Haute Indiana line in the country side of Illinois by the Wabash River !!!

I caught my first flathead on 5/13/2020. My river has a very small flat head population it was only bout 8 pounds but that is pretty decent fish for the river. It was pretty amazing feeling. Edit: mind you I've been fishing this river probably about 25 years. I'm 33 haha.
Catfish Dave when that flathead started pulling line I saw you smile and laugh for the very first time. I didn't think you had it in you!!! You actually have a very nice smile!!!
Great catch Dave!!👍One thing I've noticed since you have been catching fish from your boat, and using the rods with somewhat softer tips; is that we can appreciate just how badass, and hard fighting these brutes are!! Wow! Tight lines!!👍🎣
