New Istobal M Wash Pro at Shell/Pit Stop Gas Station in San Antonio TX

Today I'm back up at the Pit Stop owned Shell Gas Station in San Antonio TX off Pickwell Dr and SE Military Dr, where we have another nice new Istobal M Wash Pro to check out. This system was installed in October 2024 replacing a Ryko SoftGloss Maxx ( • (REPLACED) Ryko SoftGl... ) which was installed around the time Fischer's took ownership of the wash bay, and that was a replacement an older Mark VII Aquajet GT system (likely a GT-98 or GT-500), and for the most part, this system is a nice replacement to that old aging SoftGloss. Despite being a brand-new system, this does have some original parts from the old system that were recycled in order to save money, the most notable are the original Ryko signage, which were wired in to work with the new system, and personally I like how it looks paired with the newer system. I bought the $15 Color Max wash package (a bit pricey to say the least), and as for wash quality, I would give this guy a 8/10, undercarriage was pretty good (and likely is the original undercarriage unit recycled from the old SoftGloss), the presoak application was very good, the tri-foam coating was excellent, the soft touch cycle was pretty good, and I really do like the accuracy of the system in the way the brushes profile the vehicle, the top brush did an good job profiling the front, and did the side brushes do profile good as well, and the system does give a forward pass after the backward pass with the brushes still profiling just as good, the rinse cycle afterwards did do a great job getting off all the soap (this system is not equipped with the lava falls feature for some reason, which I don't understand why), the surface protection cycle did do pretty good, as well as the spot free rinse cycle, and finally the Premier dryers with the 2 top dryers and 2 side e-trunk dryers did an excellent job drying off the vehicle (I love the performance of Premier dryers).
