It does take a little bit of the uniqueness away from the Gfred when there is no running to and fighting over cars but then again everyone usually does just end up in the same 9F anyway 😂 This is a reason why I like rain/snowfred the most. All the usual cars are banned and it is a bit more interesting to see what people go with.

I was surprised when I got one - possibly via a casino spin - because I thought it would be a bit gimmicky but honestly it's a joy to drive and the water thing is unimportant to me.
I'm firmly in the 'you should do what makes you happy' camp since streamers have to stay interested to want to stream. I've seen what happens when you don't (Ray from AH, I'm thinking of specifically) ... it ends up impacting the content and leads to burnout. And that's probably the worst outcome for everyone involved. Broughy is the artist here, the performer. If he creates the content he wants we get to enjoy what we individually enjoy out of those videos/streams.

It’s interesting but also lacking that tense competition you have in normal Gfreds, especially the end there. Still interested to see how some other special vehicles would do in Gfred.
Didn't give me the kick of a normal Gfred but that's not to say that I don't appreciate the variations. The 9F without respawning on Chilliad might have made things more interesting but I've a feeling the Stromberg route would have been quicker. If the 9F had won you could have called it The Scumberg Gfred.
I wonder how long Dozerfred would take to complete? Would a Dozer even get up Chilliad? I doubt it can even make the OG route. Spend like 5 hours getting to Chilliad just to be unable to finish the race.

GFRED SUMMARY SERIES Gfred #166: StromberGfred - Diving Like an Agent . . . . SPOILER ALERT The Agent reference is as obvious as the Stromberg being a Bond Reference, but Diving here has something specific to it which will be revealed later. Now after returning from a back from doing a Panto Catchup Race, he decided to go down and check Carguessr. Apparently, he missed people talking about everything on his desk. On that Carguessr session however, Turbo buzzed into slicing Broughy. And after he respawned, Broughy is sliced by the Buzzard’s tail as well. Enough that he said Zero Tolerance will return next Week Stream. Worse, now a wrecked Titan is also on the scene as well, though he mistook a Tornado Custom as a regular Cabrio. He also choked the Biff as Rubble or Tipper etc. He always not gets the Biff right. He then starts the Lobby but he immediately goes back to fetch his Scuba Suit and Paracute. Although, there’s no swimming in this race at all. Darogen have a feeling that Phil will join the Stream next week. The Description says to dive right into the Alamo Sea instead of Chiliad Descent, which made Broughy think to do a Regular Gfred after this even though this being a Patreon Race made it have to be done as well. He is unsure if this is an Official Gfred for the Week yet though. Phukitt tells Broughy “Explain so people know how to switch modes” Broughy uses Xbox’s Right Bumper to switch Modes on Stromberg, but he didn’t know the button on Keyboard. The race starting with Raymo asking “Most memorable gfred? mine is still the 1k on the line” As Broughy’s car transformed to dive, he confirms that it’s indeed the RB Button for him. Unfortunately, the start is a mess since everybody is crushing at an underwater coral right ahead. And with the waves, he can’t see anything either. He almost got beached on the checkpoint, but he bragged that he doesn’t need to learn the Swim Line for this as he just continues taking the Submarine to the shores through that line. He literally overtakes The Stig on Coke for the lead, but Stig keeps it on the shore. Then he saw that massive ramp jousting right from Chiliad to launch people into the Alamo Sea. It’s a perfect timing with the rain as well, with 7 minutes of rain left. It fits the theme nicely. No Stealing Cars, and no nonsense. He wanted to do more One-Make Gfred, but only few races that it happens, including the Any Car Fred made by AJ on PS4. And so, he can only do that AnyCarFred four weeks from now. But he thinks it add dynamics of doing Gfred with different cars. He saw some very small minority TH-cam comments lately have been complaining whenever he does anything but Regular Gfred, just like the Random All. But he still wants to continue do what he enjoys, and that is mixing things up with Gfred and Random All. Plus, you have to mix it up to keep it interesting, if it’s just Regular Gfred all the time, both Broughy and everyone else are going to sick of it. Variants are good to mix it up. Including DeathFred even though people hated it when Broughy died there. And that last DeathFred sparked some Controversy as well. Now he reminiscent the 2nd DeathFred on Random Bits being one of his most memorable Gfred. Then he remembered Raymo’s question of his most Memorable Gfred, in which Raymo’s answer being the $1000 Bet Gfred. That one is painful but memorable, but his most Memorable Gfred is the Snowfredemption. It was so good and tense after failing miserably at first two Gfred on Main Channel. Then Stig crashed into a pole and had to redo his Jump Attempt, Broughy narrowly missed the crash and Broughy takes the lead over the Airport. He lands on the Fence because of course. He wonders if he can land on the Upper Terminal, but his wish is denied as soon as he hits a stop barricade at the ramp. On his way back, he saw Beymen driving a 9F. Then he rammed into Anfurendo when he tried to switch lanes. He still can’t believe that someone decided to screw Strombergfred and takes the Changing Cars route. And he thinks that it’s still faster to keep this Stromberg to the end. What happened at the Airport is quite a way to take first, still. Draconis pointed out that this is not a slow car too, even when it’s Stock. And Stig is pretty close by the time of Senora Road thanks to Anfurendo earlier. Now 3nd to 6th, Beymen, Peejay, InDaFace, and Dogda are pretty close to each other too. He still laughed at that Massive Ramp on the horizon. That’s going to be interesting indeed. He wonders if Stromberg can do Chiliad and wonder if it’s RWD or AWD. Though this car is quick enough and the hills is already drying after the rain. And Stig is still close at the Train Track. Broughy now reminiscent the Special Vehicles Fred. Vigilante is the worst for the boost. Rocket Voltic has Hitman winning there. Now he wonders about Ruiner 2000, as well as Blazer Aqua after some CommFreds. Though he felt that Special Vehicles doesn’t improve things that much. He is also saw Beymen lurking through the Serenniel Climb as well. Broughy struggles a bit at the top but he managed to save the Climb while Beymen plays it straight and overtook him. He said earlier that he was upset at what Beymen did, but now he’s curious on the results of this race in comparison to the 9F. Now he’s okay and let him continue, though Beymen stopped at the top and exit his vehicle before Broughy tells him to go back in his 9F and continue. Now this is what 9F can’t do, Dive into Alamo Sea. This might be a quicker way to get down Chiliad as well. And he agrees that Broughy’s second clash with the Stig at the top of Chiliad is quite an undertake indeed. When people start typing Karma, Broughy wonders if Beymen got wrecked. Broughy’s amazed that the Stromberg instantly stopped as soon as it dived, and it seems that 9F is not a good idea after all since the checkpoint is adjusted to where the Alamo Sea Section ends. IPrawny said “100% Accurate Physics” Beymen disbelieved Broughy allowing him to continue with the 9F as he laughed at someone’s instant drop bomb into the water. However, it seems that Beymen switch back to Stromberg after Chiliad so it’s too late, and Broughy crashed into the pier’s poles and flipped, he gets out the water in reverse. Then Broughy made a stupid mistake of going over a messy hill into a dirt path instead of just follow Joshua Road. It’s a really terrible idea that one. Fortunately, InDaFace messed up worse so he’s safe for now. Then Verstappen pointed out “Because you’re Broughy1322” He feels that someone has to time in how much time it takes to take a 9F and catch up in a Normal Gfred context, but he thinks that 9F can’t go across Alamo Sea before Stromberg did. It seems that the Top 4 are pretty close now since how straightforward this race is. Draconis suggested the best Strat for this race, “Meta likely is to grab the 9F, then respawn on top of Chilliad.” Still, that’s why it’s better to specify ONLY use the car intended in a One-Make Gfred. The End of the race is actually different, though he questions if it’s faster than regular Parachute. Based on the map, he thinks it’s like swim all the way to the Cove before launching to the sea. But it seems that the Arrow blocking the Parachute Line says otherwise. That transition from the Observatory was pretty smooth though, and now he’s sure that going through Zancudo is faster than the Parachute Line. Especially when he somehow seen some boosts behind the horizons of North Chumash, and Beymen is stalking Broughy at 2nd now, though Beymen now did the Meta Strat Draconis said earlier. And Broughy still laughs at the third drop to the sea. Mr. Mystery asked about the Stream Record even though it’s irrelevant since this race will not be counted if the Record is broken, and most of the time cut are from the running in the beginning. Still, how unlike him that he won 2 Gfreds in a row, and it’s a pretty fun Gfred with the Stromberg Stream Record gained. Meanwhile, 2nd to 4th, Dogda, InDaFace, and Beymen are only separated by 4 seconds. But after what is learned from this and the WheelFred on PH, everyone HAS to use the intended car in the next Themed or One-Make Gfred, and no swapping cars included. Beymen apologized “I am sorry. I didn't realize you specified not changing vehicles” but Broughy’s okay with his actions this time. When someone donated to tell him to go Hail Mary, he immediately refuses because it will kill him for sure. And then I asked “I guess this is counted for next Sunday's Gfred, right?” and he agrees that this is fun enough to be considered an Official Gfred for the week. Norremosedk asked what about deleting traffic, but Broughy objects that the last time it happened on DuneFred, it ends up really boring. So even if you don’t have traffic to steal from, you need them as the obstacles. Meanwhile, PJ finished at 5th followed by Stig at 6th. Anfurendo finished at 13th followed by Turbo at 15th.And in the end, he laughed at Hammer showing him the Blue Flag Creep.
Now we need a Stromberg vs 9f Fred to see which is quicker. I feel like the 9f is quicker over more of the race, and certainly up Chiliad, but the Stromberg can utilize a more direct route. You'd have to figure out some way of equalizing the start, since the 9f can't swim and the swimming Stromberg would be slower than a 9f on stunt props.
gfreds are one of my favorite things to watch on TH-cam, no doubt. That being said, even I gotta admit that the deathfred gfreds ssuucckkkk. They are probably better when you are watching them live, and I get where they can be one of your favorites thanks to the increase in tension, but we watch this channel to watch you race, not to watch you spectate.
But that's part of the risk that can make it so good. I don't particularly like spectatefred, HOWEVER I'd absolutely watch it knowing that an amazingly tense and fun race could happen.
The Stromberg is a beautiful machine but now is going be overshadowed by the Toreador obviously. It would be very interesting a Toreador Gfred actually! 😎
you could use the 9f on the big ramp but have to parachute off it - then get a new car at the checkpoint (poor choice of cars in that area) and then have no parachute for the final parachute line - so it would be slower - thats if you ban re-spawning in these which should be the case
Dropping into the water from chilliad was actually accurate physics... The car would just slap the water same as a human would if he landed flat from like 500m.. The only difference is that there is no damage
Bruh even with massive boosts and ramps, a fast car from literal island to island which is also faster underwater than swimming, and a massive undercut out of Chiliad to Observatory, this is still slower than the regular World Record by almost a minute.

Gfred #166: StromberGfred - Diving Like an Agent

SPOILER ALERT
The Agent reference is as obvious as the Stromberg being a Bond Reference, but Diving here has something specific to it which will be revealed later. Now after returning from a back from doing a Panto Catchup Race, he decided to go down and check Carguessr. Apparently, he missed people talking about everything on his desk. On that Carguessr session however, Turbo buzzed into slicing Broughy. And after he respawned, Broughy is sliced by the Buzzard’s tail as well. Enough that he said Zero Tolerance will return next Week Stream. Worse, now a wrecked Titan is also on the scene as well, though he mistook a Tornado Custom as a regular Cabrio. He also choked the Biff as Rubble or Tipper etc. He always not gets the Biff right. He then starts the Lobby but he immediately goes back to fetch his Scuba Suit and Paracute. Although, there’s no swimming in this race at all. Darogen have a feeling that Phil will join the Stream next week. The Description says to dive right into the Alamo Sea instead of Chiliad Descent, which made Broughy think to do a Regular Gfred after this even though this being a Patreon Race made it have to be done as well. He is unsure if this is an Official Gfred for the Week yet though. Phukitt tells Broughy “Explain so people know how to switch modes” Broughy uses Xbox’s Right Bumper to switch Modes on Stromberg, but he didn’t know the button on Keyboard.
The race starting with Raymo asking “Most memorable gfred? mine is still the 1k on the line” As Broughy’s car transformed to dive, he confirms that it’s indeed the RB Button for him. Unfortunately, the start is a mess since everybody is crushing at an underwater coral right ahead. And with the waves, he can’t see anything either. He almost got beached on the checkpoint, but he bragged that he doesn’t need to learn the Swim Line for this as he just continues taking the Submarine to the shores through that line. He literally overtakes The Stig on Coke for the lead, but Stig keeps it on the shore. Then he saw that massive ramp jousting right from Chiliad to launch people into the Alamo Sea. It’s a perfect timing with the rain as well, with 7 minutes of rain left. It fits the theme nicely. No Stealing Cars, and no nonsense. He wanted to do more One-Make Gfred, but only few races that it happens, including the Any Car Fred made by AJ on PS4. And so, he can only do that AnyCarFred four weeks from now. But he thinks it add dynamics of doing Gfred with different cars.
He saw some very small minority TH-cam comments lately have been complaining whenever he does anything but Regular Gfred, just like the Random All. But he still wants to continue do what he enjoys, and that is mixing things up with Gfred and Random All. Plus, you have to mix it up to keep it interesting, if it’s just Regular Gfred all the time, both Broughy and everyone else are going to sick of it. Variants are good to mix it up. Including DeathFred even though people hated it when Broughy died there. And that last DeathFred sparked some Controversy as well. Now he reminiscent the 2nd DeathFred on Random Bits being one of his most memorable Gfred. Then he remembered Raymo’s question of his most Memorable Gfred, in which Raymo’s answer being the $1000 Bet Gfred. That one is painful but memorable, but his most Memorable Gfred is the Snowfredemption. It was so good and tense after failing miserably at first two Gfred on Main Channel. Then Stig crashed into a pole and had to redo his Jump Attempt, Broughy narrowly missed the crash and Broughy takes the lead over the Airport. He lands on the Fence because of course. He wonders if he can land on the Upper Terminal, but his wish is denied as soon as he hits a stop barricade at the ramp. On his way back, he saw Beymen driving a 9F. Then he rammed into Anfurendo when he tried to switch lanes. He still can’t believe that someone decided to screw Strombergfred and takes the Changing Cars route. And he thinks that it’s still faster to keep this Stromberg to the end. What happened at the Airport is quite a way to take first, still. Draconis pointed out that this is not a slow car too, even when it’s Stock. And Stig is pretty close by the time of Senora Road thanks to Anfurendo earlier. Now 3nd to 6th, Beymen, Peejay, InDaFace, and Dogda are pretty close to each other too. He still laughed at that Massive Ramp on the horizon. That’s going to be interesting indeed. He wonders if Stromberg can do Chiliad and wonder if it’s RWD or AWD. Though this car is quick enough and the hills is already drying after the rain. And Stig is still close at the Train Track. Broughy now reminiscent the Special Vehicles Fred. Vigilante is the worst for the boost. Rocket Voltic has Hitman winning there. Now he wonders about Ruiner 2000, as well as Blazer Aqua after some CommFreds. Though he felt that Special Vehicles doesn’t improve things that much. He is also saw Beymen lurking through the Serenniel Climb as well. Broughy struggles a bit at the top but he managed to save the Climb while Beymen plays it straight and overtook him. He said earlier that he was upset at what Beymen did, but now he’s curious on the results of this race in comparison to the 9F. Now he’s okay and let him continue, though Beymen stopped at the top and exit his vehicle before Broughy tells him to go back in his 9F and continue.
Now this is what 9F can’t do, Dive into Alamo Sea. This might be a quicker way to get down Chiliad as well. And he agrees that Broughy’s second clash with the Stig at the top of Chiliad is quite an undertake indeed. When people start typing Karma, Broughy wonders if Beymen got wrecked. Broughy’s amazed that the Stromberg instantly stopped as soon as it dived, and it seems that 9F is not a good idea after all since the checkpoint is adjusted to where the Alamo Sea Section ends. IPrawny said “100% Accurate Physics” Beymen disbelieved Broughy allowing him to continue with the 9F as he laughed at someone’s instant drop bomb into the water. However, it seems that Beymen switch back to Stromberg after Chiliad so it’s too late, and Broughy crashed into the pier’s poles and flipped, he gets out the water in reverse. Then Broughy made a stupid mistake of going over a messy hill into a dirt path instead of just follow Joshua Road. It’s a really terrible idea that one. Fortunately, InDaFace messed up worse so he’s safe for now. Then Verstappen pointed out “Because you’re Broughy1322” He feels that someone has to time in how much time it takes to take a 9F and catch up in a Normal Gfred context, but he thinks that 9F can’t go across Alamo Sea before Stromberg did. It seems that the Top 4 are pretty close now since how straightforward this race is. Draconis suggested the best Strat for this race, “Meta likely is to grab the 9F, then respawn on top of Chilliad.” Still, that’s why it’s better to specify ONLY use the car intended in a One-Make Gfred. The End of the race is actually different, though he questions if it’s faster than regular Parachute. Based on the map, he thinks it’s like swim all the way to the Cove before launching to the sea. But it seems that the Arrow blocking the Parachute Line says otherwise. That transition from the Observatory was pretty smooth though, and now he’s sure that going through Zancudo is faster than the Parachute Line. Especially when he somehow seen some boosts behind the horizons of North Chumash, and Beymen is stalking Broughy at 2nd now, though Beymen now did the Meta Strat Draconis said earlier. And Broughy still laughs at the third drop to the sea. Mr. Mystery asked about the Stream Record even though it’s irrelevant since this race will not be counted if the Record is broken, and most of the time cut are from the running in the beginning. Still, how unlike him that he won 2 Gfreds in a row, and it’s a pretty fun Gfred with the Stromberg Stream Record gained.
Meanwhile, 2nd to 4th, Dogda, InDaFace, and Beymen are only separated by 4 seconds. But after what is learned from this and the WheelFred on PH, everyone HAS to use the intended car in the next Themed or One-Make Gfred, and no swapping cars included. Beymen apologized “I am sorry. I didn't realize you specified not changing vehicles” but Broughy’s okay with his actions this time. When someone donated to tell him to go Hail Mary, he immediately refuses because it will kill him for sure. And then I asked “I guess this is counted for next Sunday's Gfred, right?” and he agrees that this is fun enough to be considered an Official Gfred for the week. Norremosedk asked what about deleting traffic, but Broughy objects that the last time it happened on DuneFred, it ends up really boring. So even if you don’t have traffic to steal from, you need them as the obstacles. Meanwhile, PJ finished at 5th followed by Stig at 6th. Anfurendo finished at 13th followed by Turbo at 15th.And in the end, he laughed at Hammer showing him the Blue Flag Creep.

Now we need a Stromberg vs 9f Fred to see which is quicker. I feel like the 9f is quicker over more of the race, and certainly up Chiliad, but the Stromberg can utilize a more direct route. You'd have to figure out some way of equalizing the start, since the 9f can't swim and the swimming Stromberg would be slower than a 9f on stunt props.

gfreds are one of my favorite things to watch on TH-cam, no doubt. That being said, even I gotta admit that the deathfred gfreds ssuucckkkk. They are probably better when you are watching them live, and I get where they can be one of your favorites thanks to the increase in tension, but we watch this channel to watch you race, not to watch you spectate.
But that's part of the risk that can make it so good. I don't particularly like spectatefred, HOWEVER I'd absolutely watch it knowing that an amazingly tense and fun race could happen.
So when are we getting a Gfred with tire wear? I feel like that could lead to some horrible choices.
I've noticed quite a few people are suggesting this, so he will probaly start using tyre wear on more races (If possible ofc)
The Stromberg is a beautiful machine but now is going be overshadowed by the Toreador obviously. It would be very interesting a Toreador Gfred actually! 😎
you could use the 9f on the big ramp but have to parachute off it - then get a new car at the checkpoint (poor choice of cars in that area) and then have no parachute for the final parachute line - so it would be slower - thats if you ban re-spawning in these which should be the case
Love the Stromberg, but hate how the camera stays underwater when you want to "drive" on the surface

Dropping into the water from chilliad was actually accurate physics... The car would just slap the water same as a human would if he landed flat from like 500m.. The only difference is that there is no damage
If want to slow a Gfred down, you could do an APC-fred. Or god-forbid, a Zhaba-fred.

The only complaint I have with GFreds is the use of the 9F, 9F and it's over... I love GFreds though, fantastic to kill time!
Bruh even with massive boosts and ramps, a fast car from literal island to island which is also faster underwater than swimming, and a massive undercut out of Chiliad to Observatory, this is still slower than the regular World Record by almost a minute.
