Whya r tghe Asha'ira not considered kuffar baffles me. We call the mutafalsifah kuffar because they deny the lieral definition of heaven and hell....But when they deny the sifaat of Allah, which is more numerous than the times heaven and hell are mentioned in the Qur'an...we can't call them Kuffar?!
Because they dont openly reject sifaat. They twist meanings which is biddah in itself.
because most of them do so because of ta'wil, it's not straight up refusing to believe in Allahs names and attributes.
Excuses upon excuses...why not extend the same courtesy to the jahmiiyaa and the mutafalsifa who denied the literal understanding of Jannah and Jahannam?

They try with the permission of Allah to save you from your heresies. They are very calm and sure of there aquida on tahwid. May Allah preserve us from shirk and maintain us on tahwid and on the way of the prophet (peace be upon him)
