I would like to understand the infrastructure cost for shed size 40x300 and how much birds can be raised? Also is 40x300 is good size or what is the best suggested size?
The suggested size is 2sft per bird. With your measurements you can put 6000 chickens. The birds will enjoy if you can give 2 sft per bird. But no one was following the standards. Almost all the farms follow 1 sft per bird to 1.2 sft per bird. Atleast give them 1.5 sft per bird for its comfort. Surely you can see a lot of advantages with the given space. The birds should not feel the stress. Due to less spacing pecking and other problem like disease's will spread if any virus attacks. Within no time there is a chance to lossing lot of birds.
