Eventhough I make fun of him calling Winnie the Pooh, as a leader he made a golden gem in Chinese history. His father purged, one sister committed suicide and he worked by feeding pigs and live inside a cave during cultural revolution. Failed to join CCP 8 times, but now he's controlling the party.

      A few quotes worth sharing.
“In two generations, China has built 500 entire cities from scratch, moved the majority of their huge population from poverty to the middle class and mostly cornered the market in 5g and pharmaceuticals,” he said. “In China alone, they have 40,000 kilometers of high-speed rail. America has… none. Our fastest train is the tram that goes around the zoo.”
      -Bill Maher
US cities are stuck in the 80s because the politicians and government lack the will to coordinate and lead companies and workers in the right path and become sophisticated.
      -Jarrod Yuki
US wants China to be a democracy country. In other word, political divided with two parties fighting with each other, so US could help one of them with its propaganda and finance capacity and place its influence inside china in return. Then China can never make independent policy if it relates to US interest. In other word, a vassal country. China maybe allowed to produce Tshirts, but definitly not 5G or AI.
Divide and conquer is the real purpose of US pushing democracy everywhere.
      -Ru 911.

That's how you change your country. Not by doing demonstrations in front of the government building all day. But by participating in the government and party actively. He was rejected 9 times!! I can't even fathom how persistent he was to join the party and to make the change for his country. No matter how bad US depict him in the media, I really respect and admire him to heart.

I once did an assignment for a module at university. I found out about Xi's various policies such as anti-corruption and poverty alleviation. About 800 million people have been alleviated from extreme poverty.
The methods: 1) if the place is suitable for tourism, help the locals set up the necessary facilities, and provide free homes for the locals.
    2) if the place is suitable for farming, help the locals in all areas including the all-powerful selling on the internet in China.
    3) if the place is doomed, nothing at all, move all the locals to a conducive place. Provide free houses and even furniture. Help the locals find means of supporting themselves.
The Xi government also provides free education with free room and board for improvised residents.
Since then, I have had immense admiration for Xi Jin Ping. Ask yourself this q: does any other country do all these for its people??? I bet you can't find one esp not in the USA and Europe. Who are we to condemn China? If the Chinese support Xi and CCP, so be it. We are not them, we cannot impose our values on them. Leave them alone.

Thanks for this brief summary of Xi's rise to power, I am looking forward to reading reports from the 20th Party congress. Thanks to the academic rigour that comes with being a Marxist/Lenninist political party, the CPC has long since known better than to try replacing capitalism with socialism; instead the Party has subordinated capitalism to socialism by utilising the economic dynamics of capitalism in order to meet its overarching political objectives of socialism ie; 'socialism with Chinese characteristics'. Reform was a as Deng Xiaoping said hide your strength and bid your time when socialism was overthrown with collapse of the soviet union and the backwardness of China's economy. They could have easily said they are capitalist and become a neoliberal and eventually a liberal country. But no they kept the party firmly in control so they can prepare for transition from market economy to socialist planned economy and then eventually communism

    -US-Trade War crisis
    -Uyghur Genocide
-Control of Hong Kong extradition laws
-COVID-19 Pandemic(Biggest ever, millions of innocent lives lost)
    -Taiwan Disputes
-Declining population in China as a result of Zero-COVID policy leading to low fertility/birth rates(because of this, India may surpass China population in 2027)
-Climate Change/Global Warming plans procrastination to 2060(Net Zero Emissions by 2060 which is too late)
-Supporting Russia in the Russian-Ukrainian War in 2022

🙏❤ " How To Read a Book " was a great help and very informative.
    (1) Once you begin, read quickly through the book and get a general "feel" what it's about.
    (2) Then go on to a second reading where you read more carefully and take notes, but not heavily annotated.
    (3) A third and subsequent readings will be much more in depth & you will have conversations with yourself about the book as if you were describing the work to another person.
I've applied it for nearly 30 years and my efficiency for reading is so vastly improved. -Eppie Hemsley
