Maybe the value these structures have is that the player has to give it a purpose. I already want to do this sort of thing in vanilla. I just dont get around to it lol
I have no problem with companies finding ways to monetize UGC in ways that allow creators to get paid. At the rate of $0.01 per download, even something as impressive as 73k downloads (and that was reviews, so the actual dl amount is likely more) is $730. That's not bad for a single developer working for a few weeks on something simple. I would hope and expect that Mojang is paying creators much better than that. And that potentially enables teams of devs to work on content like this full-time sustainably. I hope free side-loaded mods continue on forever. But I also hope the legitimate and built-in marketplace thrives and is a healthy, if not even primary, method for getting paid content. I'm not sure about free content broadly. Seems Mojang isn't either. Those economics seem quite interesting.
Reasons being of why ppl like console players are unable to use link downloads, PS4 players are unable to load/render in high-performance error by biomes and structures, including guns like high-rendering 3D models and too many entities of ammunition. So devices like PlayStation and Xbox can't download links and store them like how a phone/mobile does and PC. I'm sure Microsoft has reasons not to bring harmful violations of guns. Unless Microsoft could try configuration and arrangements of adding guns. The same reasons for custom biomes and structures, except how to rid high fps issues.

Should really check out the following mods if you want better versions, and would argue curseforge is the better user experience too, as they are checked and approved compared to mcpedl which could easily contain spyware. Sophisticated backpacks - Depending on how you configure it, can be just useful enough or ridiculous to the point of carrying your whole base's storage everywhere you go. Optifine's dynamic lightning - is way better quality than the 2 shown off, it's real time, and it only shows on the client side, so won't impact other players or mechanics, so is pure cosmetic, which I personally prefer as it can't be abused too much, and is more QoL than cheaty, not to mention Optifine also adds a whole ton of optimization to the game, so makes it run even smoother than default mc. Better End. You could make a custom curseforge modpack with all the mods/add-ons you want to use, then it will update them all at once whenever you want to transfer it over and play. I've said it before, but they really need to hire some people like the optifine crew and take a year or so to update the base engine before any more updates, taking a year to just add a couple features is crazy.
To Microsoft free mods are competition and lower the profit margin. To Mojang (prior to marketplace) free mods were the reason Minecraft still exists. Without the Minecraft would just be a niche game and might have discontinued long ago. The marketplace is never going to have things like Thaumcraft, Rail craft Industrial craft Twilight Forest etc. Currently the marketplace is filled with almost exclusively playsets rather than mods. The problem with free add-ons from outside the marketplace is that their quality is often terrible. Better On Bedrock shows how lazy these people are, the textures look terrible (poorly designed color palettes, using nether trees with changed textures). This is the main, very visible difference...
It's just the idea that modders can do all this stuff in a shorter amount of time than Mojang has ever done in the past 3 years. Mojangs excuse for not adding sharks was because they were "endangered and that players would kill sharks needlessly." Yet I added an addon to my Minecraft game, and it's got sharks and is already miles better than what Mojang has done lately. Mojang and Microsoft are just lazy imo and sit around the offices for months on end and only manage to add like 2 new mobs and a few new blocks. They are a joke now.

Mojang: "Dynamic Lighting is too hard and will slow down your game." OptiFine: "I added Dynamic Lighting _while speeding up your game._ I'll take my beer back now."
The main benefit of Marketplace Add-ons is that they are curated and guaranteed to work with each other. Add-ons from other sources aren't guaranteed to be compatible with other add-ons. And if an update to the game breaks an add-on, Mojang isn't going to communicate that to the developer. The player is ultimately responsible for testing and troubleshooting their setup, and searching to check if an update has been released via one of the download sites. This might be a technical level beyond some players. It's not as simple as using Curseforge, which automatically notifies the player of available updates and changes. I had such an issue occur today. The Multiplayer Wayfinder add-on was out of date when I installed Backpack Plus. So it took me a bit to realize that was why my Wayfinder add-on stopped working and resolved the issue. Some players just can't be bothered fussing with a lot of technical issues and would prefer a more automated system of add-on updates being applied. For this reason, I really hope that Minecraft Bedrock has a more integrated solution for installing and managing add-ons and entices more developers to offer their add-ons via the Minecraft Marketplace.
The reason for this is bc the Marketplace creators have features that the regular player base does not have access to. And Marketplace creators cannot use experimental features, which r features they work on for addons but change a lot. They recently made a huge change like this to addons too so that is also another thing y player created addons commonly break
I've always found it funny how people were "mind-blown" by the marketplace addons as "finally bringing mods to other devices" as if they were lacking before. Especially as a phone player that has been playing with my over 30 addons, packs and even shaders for years. The only issue that has always bothered me is that the more elaborate addons you find online always use experimenls, which is annoying cause that stuff can literally break your worlds quite quickly (especially when Mojang doesn't do anything about a lingering bug on custom biome experimental that broke all my super cool biome mods and made them unusable :) ). Especially with furniture, that's very frustrating and I'll always be thankful for the marketplace addons working without experimental, that's the best thing that came from it.
Not all addons may need experimental settings enabled. However, this would depend on what the addon is about. Take note of how these addons on the marketplace are either simpler compared to more ellabkrate addons found elsewhere. Some addons on the marketplace have preferential treatment to help ensure they perform well, while an addon that may do the same things may struggle and/or require experimental settings to work. One addon maker gets paid to make addons on the marketplace for mojang to make more money. The other likely will not be paid for their work. They may not be as inclined to ensure their addons have good quality, even after a few updates that may break them.
Majority of people like convenience and will always choose the path to least resistance. Others just like 'official' and trust that label more, so maybe they meant that for official add-ons instead of 3rd party apps or websites.
Some features addons would try to add may not work as well as how java mods manage to add new features. Simply because addons are limited to what the game's mechanics and code. While vanilla minecraft does not have the coding for dynamic lights. The addons can try other methods to emulate the effect. My guess in this case is that the addon is using a script for an invisible armor stand with a light property attached to it. When the player holds a certain item, the script works with the lit up armor stand following the player around with every block they step on.
right. It would be nice if addon makers could post their addons on there and have some compensation for their work. The makers would also be responsible for the quality and performance of their work. But then again, Mojang sadly seems more inclined to pay their own staff to make addons just to have something on the marketplace. Something that once again will divide the community that made the game as massive, and profitable, as it is.

The backpack can't use Curios support, so it's not supported by Bedrock. If Curios ever came to Bedrock, I would be happy. Java's got better everything, really.
I wish Microsoft would see just how popular mods are and add in REAL modding ability instead of the super limited addons they currently have. It's clear they want to make money off the backs of mod creators but they don't want the mods to be better than what they are making.
The quality control on the market place isn't very good, nor is the quality of most add-ons there. I recently reported one to Microsoft as a scam as it's a broken mess.
Look I know Microsoft owns Bethesda and therefore owns Fallout 4 but that doesn't mean Minecraft needs the creation club, what is Microsoft doing to Minecraft
Hey toycat, you missed like 99% of the best addon in minecraft, poggy made the entire thing himself, and a ton of things in the review were missing, the update blocks were caused by you not being on the correct version, and there is far less focus on the end, this was just the most recent update.
i went to curseforge downloaded something and it didn't even go into minecraft it just said can't open file i went to mcpedl didn't even let me download anything cause there wasn't any download button anywhere so this is dumb
Download the .mcaddon or .mcpack file(s)*, then open them and it should automatically launch MC and import the addon. This is for PC, I have no idea how they work on consoles.. *Most addons have two or more files, the "resource pack" and "behavior pack" although some have just one and some have a third pack. Basically, download all the files associated with any given pack and import all of them and you should be ok. If MC complains that you just tried importing the same pack again, it's harmless and can be ignored. Other errors you might see are usually if the pack isn't compatible with your MC version and/or you're missing one or more of the downloaded pack files.
Toycat should do a PSA on being careful while dowloading from certain websites. Because some sites and even some addons can have viruses in them, sadly. Also, seeing about Discord servers ir communitylies that help addon makes share their work as well as help people see addons in a safer place.
Making real dynamic lighting would require an entire rewrite of minecraft's lighting. And it still will be very computationally expensive for a game like minecraft. Also, the "dynamic lighting" add-ons are also computationally expensive as lighting in minecraft is supposed to be mostly static. Remember that MCBE is a mobile game too and mobile devices would take the biggest performance hit from dynamic lighting.

Lmao the marketplace gives a damn chair while mcpedl gives a furniture mod WITH OVER 1000 FURNITURE, with all the good furniture mods on mcpedl combined you get over 6000 furniture peices.... and a DAMN END UPDATE
my favorite addon is Nico's forsaken Odyssey, ngl it slaps
9 minercraft is a dodgey website that gives mods which are outdated, stolen or have viruses in DO NOT USE
The backpack can't use Curios support, so it's not supported by Bedrock. If Curios ever came to Bedrock, I would be happy. Java's got better everything, really.
On better Minecraft, glowing mobs give different drops. I killed a glowing/enchanted pig and it gave me like 4 gold ingots
Nice Toycat, but how do you put them on the xbox?
I wish Microsoft would see just how popular mods are and add in REAL modding ability instead of the super limited addons they currently have. It's clear they want to make money off the backs of mod creators but they don't want the mods to be better than what they are making.
The quality control on the market place isn't very good, nor is the quality of most add-ons there.
I recently reported one to Microsoft as a scam as it's a broken mess.
Look I know Microsoft owns Bethesda and therefore owns Fallout 4 but that doesn't mean Minecraft needs the creation club, what is Microsoft doing to Minecraft
Hey toycat, you missed like 99% of the best addon in minecraft, poggy made the entire thing himself, and a ton of things in the review were missing, the update blocks were caused by you not being on the correct version, and there is far less focus on the end, this was just the most recent update.
what about console users. (i play on switch) as i am pretty sure that is only for windows and mobile.
Your switch would most definitely need to be hacked if there was a way to download and import mods
Or realms hosted on a phone/PC
Someone might have said this but DO NOT USE Minecraft, you can get viruses from it
i went to curseforge downloaded something and it didn't even go into minecraft it just said can't open file i went to mcpedl didn't even let me download anything cause there wasn't any download button anywhere so this is dumb
Been watching for a while but I just realized toy cat is like grown up stampy
Ah I Love Minecrafts None Support Of Wearing custom Items 💀💀
Can you give us a more detailed tutorial on how to download these?
@@AdrianLee ok
Try the addons by Adam Taylor gaming. If you’re a fnaf fan you will love them
Worst part about all the marketplace addons - can't use them on a non-realm server :/
bro rlly said Tine-kuh instead of Teen-kuh somewhere in the overview
Until they add skyfactory I’m not playing bedrock again
My game just hard locks any time I try to load a mod with better on bedrock
1:03 ah yes tighnkuh
I really hope we can get Valkyrien Skies and mini blocks mod on bedrock.
Wait until you find out about the amethyst project, it's client side mods for bedrock, it's fairly new but someone's working on a minimap mod
Can you make a survival addon for any device?
Who ate my end biome grass 😮
i did 😋
YES! Please do more videos on add-ons
Toycat should do a PSA on being careful while dowloading from certain websites. Because some sites and even some addons can have viruses in them, sadly.
Also, seeing about Discord servers ir communitylies that help addon makes share their work as well as help people see addons in a safer place.
That gun mod is trash theres better bedrock gun mods outnthere
Does anyone know how to get better on bedrock working on realma
Making real dynamic lighting would require an entire rewrite of minecraft's lighting. And it still will be very computationally expensive for a game like minecraft.
Also, the "dynamic lighting" add-ons are also computationally expensive as lighting in minecraft is supposed to be mostly static.
Remember that MCBE is a mobile game too and mobile devices would take the biggest performance hit from dynamic lighting.
You can also put backpacks inside of backpacks lol
