Have you taught him to roll over on his back and float? If not, you've not taught him important life saving skill. His over confidence adds to the risk of an accident. Great to see him enjoying the water, to many kids his age drown because they haven't learned to float ON there back. Swim (safely) 😀

Fearless babies make me so nervous around water. Even with adults, drowning is such a quiet thing that it's as eerie as it is frightening. I had to let mine drink water to help him understand that he was safe the pool because I was in it with him and that without me in it with him, he could die. I had to teach him to respect the water. You have a good dog that will help you watch though. Enjoy the little guy because they do grow up so fast.
