Hi Tom Lost a few from there myself. I've never really felt like I've won the game there. But what a place to be aloud to play the game. Great video. Very technical place to fish. I came away from my first trip there from being on the island in absolute awe of the place. You will evolve so much as an angler by fishing there. Take care fella .

Great first blog, and what a place to do it! Some absolute beasts there! I only got into carping this year, having not fished since I was young. I'll be honest, it's hard going just catching on the regular, especially starting from scratch but all the hints & tips you top guys give really do help. So to see the likes of yourself regularly catching some absolute monsters and being disappointed by fish I can only dream of catching, is inspiring! Roll on the next blog entry!

Good stuff mate, well done of your 60👍 quick tip when using the boat is to turn the boat around near the spot and point it back to the bank and then lower the rig from the back of the boat that way it’s just a straight line back to the bank ... I’ve fished Rainbow and numerous other waters in France where a boat is essential and it was very much trial and error until you build up your knowledge and boat skills 👍

Well done Tom! What an adventure :) Productionwise, if anything, these blogs are more "real" and all the more enjoyable than the more polished videos. I've been reading Tim Paisley's "From the bivvy" book - a contemporaneous account of the trials and tribulations of fishing venues like Rainbow - and he got beaten-up proper on there. Yet, the book was more enjoyable for it because we can all relate to that! Keep up the good work. All the best, Scott

What a result and cracking fish. I fished rainbow 21 years ago and had my first 40lb fish from the same spot you had your fish from. Brought back lots of great memory’s. Question is how the hell did you book the trip I can’t make contact with pascal or anyone who can help get back on this amazing lake. Well done and tight lines.
No doubt Tom is skilled but without giant fish venues & tons of free bait & kit this is not possible for the average angler. Sadly too many watch this & believe they’ll also achieve these results on there typical waters. Congrats, beautiful fish
Why people would choose to dislike this video is completely mind blowing, jealousy is the ugliest trait. Anyway......more importantly.. Congratulations on exceeding your rainbow target/expectations. It was Really enjoyable and beneficial to watch. First ever trip to Rainbow in challenging conditions and a complete different style of fishing to what you normally do, in my opinion you absolutely smashed it. Pleased for you Tom and I can’t wait for the next one!
