    I have a driveway lane I wish to get done and looking to get the right material. Would you say what you have done there could support a few concrete mix truck rolling over with no risk of pipe colaspe? For me, there is a need for concrete trucks to go past the pipe for future jobs going beyond. Small roof and yard drainage to go into a pipe like you have but 6 inch diameter is all I think I need for a 40 ft lenght. Steel roof and three downspout plus surface water and a 4% slope average terrain to go across.

    • @eliteearthworksllc
      @eliteearthworksllc  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes that will easily support the weight of a concrete truck. As long as you can get 10”-12” of coverage over the pipe it will handle plenty of weight

    • @jeans5658
      @jeans5658 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@eliteearthworksllc I have not gotten the chance to research so much on questions I have. I really appreciate your answer above. It is good for someone that hire contractors , , nowadays, to know more than less because, many contractors out there (newer ones with no experience), may claim to know it all, take off with your money, and then let you live with subpar consequences. There are also people that sell pipes, and that is all they worry about. The sale. I believe in a local excavator that will do the work for me but, I will be there to observe and there will no corners cut. I just saw this other video here, I find it a good demonstration, (you would say in a lab not where this usually gets done) and it fully support all you say above. Once again. What material did you backfill your pipe with, and do you have any issues with settling. We use 1-1/2 processed gravel with the town but even with compacting every 4-6 inch lifts we still get settling. You get a lot done with small machines. Nice job.

    • @eliteearthworksllc
      @eliteearthworksllc  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jason Unknown it was 1” base rock (limestone) I’m sure it will settle some since I didn’t compact any of it. But with all the water running in that ditch I didn’t figure running a compactor over it would do any good. He just wanted his business open for Memorial Day weekend. Did you get a permit? You mentioned about the county's culvert down the road being small. Usally the county or MODOT will tell you what size based on existing culverts and ditching.
    I didn't see any digrite/utilities marking flags, typically around here the ditches are full off cable and telephone cables

    • @eliteearthworksllc
      @eliteearthworksllc  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Robert Thomas no permit was needed. He talked to the county before about making it a larger pipe and they were fine with it as long as it was metal. There’s one phone line in but it’s closer to the road. There’s a rock shelf in the this ditch that’s almost impossible to dig through so most utilities here are still in the air.

    you did great work getting the new culvert in and dressing it up, but looking at 18:21 I am wondering where the water flows from there because it appears the next driveway over is blocking the ditch, or is there another culvert diverting water flow under the main road to the other side?

      David Null there’s a 12” concrete pipe under the road before the Pediatrician’s driveway but the county won’t do anything with it. It always backs up there too. Lol yes I believe they are. They just built the pediatrician office last year and it use to be lower than the parking I fixed

    Nice content but... you might consider using less noisy music when you do the sped up video. Speaking of that, I wish letsdig18 would speed his stuff up from time to time.

    Nice video ;) but i have a question, what do u think of the Takeuchi tb 153 as a digger? And have u though about getting a tiltrotater for the machine? I have had my hours in one of those with a SMP tiltrotater and i have to say its one of the best small excavator i have used especially when u have all of the possibilities with a tiltrotater. Love the vids, u are doing a great job ;)

      Nor thank you! I love the 153 it’s an awesome machine. I have thought about the tiltrotater looks like it would definitely be handy. Thanks again for watching
