It is often said that sex does not harm anyone and therefore should not be prohibited under any circumstances.
I disagree.
I think it hurts a lot of people.
It harms a person spiritually and, according to one study, can even cause depression.
University of Tennessee researchers found that in young women there appears to be a direct correlation between disallowed sexual behavior and serious emotional problems.
There is also the issue of teenage pregnancy.
Every year one million teenagers get pregnant.
Many of these pregnancies never come to an end because one in five abortions is performed in women under 20 years of age.
And 400,000 of the 1.6 million abortions annually are performed on teenage mothers.
Does unauthorized sex harm anyone?
What about the baby who is never privileged to live his life?
Who knows what some of these kids might have done in the world today - what difference could they make?
There is no such thing as a "one night stand".
Sex is not a toy; is a gift from God made for marriage
