My parents reaction was sort of the same when we found out. But my mom was the more calm one as my dad had kinda lost it. It was rough. But I’m a year cancer free now!
Congrats!
Hailey Spear congrats
Glory be to God ure alive and well
DonZor ffs why do you have to bring god into everything 🤦♂️
@@mrpak7696 was I speaking to you? I wasn't. No one knows who u are. So hide ur face
"...i heard it reduces your chance of having cancer by 15%"
"... well i already have cancer so.."
Raechel Rae 😳🧼🧸🍑💄🍋🎪👨🏿🦰👀
Should I laugh?
@@thel0n3lytramp63 I did, sooooo😳
He just has to drink that like 7 times and he'll be cancer free. 15% * 7 =105%.
I wept.
Gordon-Levitt was great, but it was Anjelica who tore me up... It's, it's just exactly how a mother would take this notice. The sweet attempt to make tea, how she looked at him, how she hugged him and cried... Perfect. Just perfect.
And sadly it could have been because just two years before the making of this film, Anjelica lost her adored husband by cancer..
um, yeah, she's a fantastic actress. And if you look at Ron Howard's daughter and Josh Gordon Levitt, it's really well played.
Yeah she managed to make me feel annoyed that my mom got crazy
Anjelica's husband didn't die because of cancer
This movies so underrated it should have won all the oscars, or at least best screenplay
omg right?!! I love this movie. the writing is simple yet meaningful, the acting from the actors are great, everything is just great. Love this movie so much
Should’ve won an Oscar Mayer award
Tazzi R The problem was marketing. I was so confused the first time I saw it and so was everyone with me. The trailer made it sound like a comedy. Solid movie but poorly advertised
the oscars are bullshit, this film won in the eyes of its audience and i think thats more valuable in the end
😐
When Rachel said "me" I thought "how are you gonna do that?" She was so scared that she wouldn't set foot in the hospital with him. She did the lowest thing someone could ever do. She cheated on him
It’s so sad how he says “What do you want me to say?” like he’s a kid afraid of getting in trouble
more like a kid that dropped the bomb on why they did something that got them in trouble and is just waiting for the "grown up" to just deal with it....but isn't sure how to deal with disbelief cuz they felt like they said all there was to say.
like for instance there is no response to "what do you mean you felt suicidal from not finishing the Golden Mile when you were a kid?" cuz that's what it is.
As a Non Hodgkin’s lymphoma survivor, this hit different.
Here I am again... Watching random clips of movies I don't know
Watch it, it’s a great movie
Lmao same
Te l same
I feel bad for his mother, how upset she is.😢
I feel bad for him. She's deadset on smothering him
@@dorkmax7073 I know but I'm saying this as someone who almost their older sister to cancer. I never reacted like that though. Same with any of my other loved ones who had cancer. Still though, I feel for them both but imagine as a parent finding out your child has cancer. It's one of the worst things you could hear.
Edit: I was a teen when I typed this and it was right around the time someone close to me had died from cancer so I wasn't really thinking about the cancer patients feelings. The only way I could even truly know is by developing it myself. Sure I witnessed it with my older sister when I was a kid, I still would never physically know what it's like.
The hardest words to say are I have cancer. You enter a world of your own few can understand
This is one of the best depictions of Cancer and the ups and downs of it
The ups of cancer. Good one.
bullshit...it's just acting by a person who doesnt have cancer....
I don't know how I would tell me parents, or if I would tell them. It would be the hardest conversation to have. This scene is a pretty realistic depiction of how these conversations go.
I’d never heard of 50/50 and I saw JGL and I thought this was maybe the full assmovie 50th clip of a movie
Dad: continues to eat pizza
AH is really something. She sounds real.
My youngest brother had cancer a few years back.
Wouldn't she want to know the type and stage? I mean...cancer could be anything from skin to liver, etc...
Think everybody should everyone who has different conditions because the support not their in everyone it feels like Adam on his own in the film.
I'm gonna make you some green tea!
don't waste a moment
Wait... is his mom Morticia Addams?!?
Can I order a pisa pls, I hab cancer!!
Wtf is his girl wearing looks like it’s made out of a window curtains
PUT SAD MUSIC HERE! 😭
Sad music almost always destroys powerful scenes
It's the vaccine
thouse who use jesus name in vain and are so rude ,,,u should be changging ,because if not you will go to a very bad place ,,,and then guess what when u beg to get out ,,you cant
Hail Satan
Scum Plays you stole me meme
Lydia Huang yes a god giving eternal agony, such a loving god
You guys are so backwards. Instead of blaming an loving God. Blame yourself and satan
Well, goddamn it
her role was small, but anjelica huston was great in this.
made me cry. :)
She completely disappeared in this role. I didn't even realize she was in it till watching this years later
I always cry when she hugs him and cries..
She's great in everything, especially this.
Isn't that the same actress who played Mary Jane in the Spiderman movies starring Toby Maguire?
you can see how bryce dallas howard's character just didn't want to take care of him at all.
Her character was a POS
@MemesAreDreams She's not thicc at all
Yeah rewatching it now I'm not sure how I missed the signs.
Some people just simply can't take literally watching someone die and get super sick no matter how much they love him
Doesnt mean she is a bad person just not her character and now he sees that
Everyone wants to say "we will takw care of you" because thats what we are suppose to say and do
But like I said some can't
The alien in your backyard she has a flat stomach and fatty thighs. thats thick in my book
My old roommate just contacted me and told me he has cancer in his mouth they have to take his jaw off and even if that happens he has a 50/50 chance of surviving. Scary shit, to real
Micah S. Moore how is he
Please let us know
Is he doing okay??
Micah S. Moore rip
Alan Grant of course he won’t answer
Dad still going for that pizza. And who could blame him? Pizza is delicious.
The Dad has alzheimers and is pretty unaware of what happens around him
Vigorous Pants that wasn’t a joke...?
@Vigorous Pants looks like you have one.
Dad is chillin 😂
Son: ‘I have cancer’
Dad: *takes a bite of broccoli*
At 0:40 her eyes turn from excitement to worry. Very good acting and a very powerful scene.
Anjelica Huston is one of the greatest veteran actors in Hollywood today I'm not surprised at how well she acted in this scene as any caring mother would act
+dookeland8 She has lineage.
Anjelica Houston is ridiculously good actress. So underrated.
I lost my mom to cancer. This scene makes me miss her love, concern and motherly ways .
I'm so sorry for your loss ❤ she's in heaven watching over you
Hang in there pal ❤😢
im so sorry i cant imagine what your going througth
I’m so sorry. That’s so devastating and I can’t imagine what you went through. She’s watching over you and her love is still alive in you even though she’s not physically still here ❤
The change when she hears he knew for multiple days. From a 'how could you not tell me' to 'my baby was struggling by himself and I didn't know'
That’s the best acting I’ve ever seen it really sets the tone for her character
Anjelica is a tremendous actress
I can tell from personal experience this is not exaggerated. People have trouble interpreting you’re diagnoses at first and reacts crying even though you’re trying to be positive.
*I hear on the news it reduces cancer my by 10% **1:56** (me crying)*
Forgotten Memory She said 15%
Forgotten Memory OMG that really hurt my feelings! #cyberbullying #imavictim #suicidal #depression LMAAAOO 😂😩😩💀
It MIGHT be true because alot of Asians drink green tea. 🤔🙄🤣
"I heard on the today show it reduces your chance of cancer by 50%"
"Well I already have cancer"
I'm going to hell for laughing at this 😂
Bryce Dallas looking so classy and beautiful.
+Danny Oceans she was up until she cheated on him
Her character wasn't classy
drmuffin1080 Bryce has done good roles (Pete's 🐉, Jurassic World etc.)
but Rachael isn't faithful to Adam in this, she's too shallow. But her worst role is definitely Story from Lady in the Water.
@@Quinna5537
I loved her in The Help. Not the character, but her as an actress.
I remember when my aunt-in law’s mom was first diagnosed with cancer. In her last few months, she was so fragile and skinny, nothing but flesh and bones. She wasn’t even all there anymore, mentally. Only slept and moaned and cried in pain. Family brought her home so she can die somewhere peaceful and all I can think about was her mother.
The poor woman was 96 years old, watching her child suffer a slow and painful death and there was absolutely nothing she could do about it.
Can’t even imagine the pain it must’ve been for a mother to see their child go in such a way. I know this is what Adam’s mom must’ve been fearing as well. No parent wants to see their child suffer and no parent wants to outlive them either
His mom is morticia addams
When you have to look at someone for them to jump in and say they will help... they dont actually want to help. That's the part of this movie I knew she would betray him
Yep. Just like when people say: "ask me if you need anything". They don't want to help you either.
this is one of the few films that is funny while dealing with a serious subject it is sad but it's also a comedy I luv this movie
I knew something was wrong with my mom, she woudn't tell me but cmon, she's my mom, i know her, so i started asking her what was wrong until she told me, i think the most shocking/sad moment was the day that she left the shower and came to my room crying with no hair, but thats life.
She's cancer free for about 3-4 years now, so... all good!!!
I was crying when my girlfriend said she has lung cancer 😭 that's when I stayed with her. I'm hoping she's fighing it
I know it's 2 years, how is she?
What I found really unrealistic about this scene is his mom doesn’t immediately ask what kind of cancer. I feel like that’s the immediate next question most people would ask
Mom isn’t most people. The immediate next response for most normal people would be I’m sorry or how are you feeling. Not how likely is it that you are going to die. Lol your feelings have zero grace
Nah it was very realistic, as a mother your first reaction would be paij and huet and nit wondering about what type of cancer
"You waited a COUPLE OF DAYS to tell me???"
exactly what my mother would say in that situation. I'd be in trouble lol
"im moving in" LMFAOOO He said No 😭😭😭
Imagine the horror of hearing that...... And then realizing you aren't quite done eating yet... And need to make a decision...
Typical narcissist response. Not " OMG how terrible for you " but " you waited two days to tell me?" All about her, even when death of her child is possible. Nightmare of narcissists...you end up sick but still managing THEIR distress.
i know from personal experience to say that i have cancer is very vague. there are many different kinds of cancer that can affect different areas of the body. some are not terribly severe. i had thyroid cancer which is actually very common and if detected early is fairly simple to remove. they just surgically remove your thyroid then you take a pill everyday to replace what your thyroid makes. no chemo involved. i had thyroid cancer in december of 2000. i had my thyroid removed , i take the pill once a day and i am fine. there are some cancer where they can simply remove the affected organ. i also had my right kidney removed about 6 years ago from cancer. i dont even realize that i dont have a right side kidney
this is accually a really well done scene i gotta watch this movie again both joseph and angejic were amazing
why was he trippin about his mom moving in?
Most of us don't want to live with our parents
My mom is the same way. I get it’s painful but it’s not about them. It’s about what you are going through.
Only movie that made me laugh and cry in equal measures.
Oh my god! 50/50! It was right there in the title!
Dont critisize his father.it was so sad when you see the entire film.watch the whole film n u will know why he acts like he doesnt care
Ey b0ss , i habe cancur
Detlef Steves Are you 5??
This is not bad. But I still think Tommy Wiseau handles such revelations more smoothly.🤔
Damn
the acting from the mom was amazing
Her father is the legendary John Huston from Chinatown (1974).
@@kingamoeboid3887 wow
Ahmed Sarkar her dad directed The Maltese Falcon and The African Queen.
@@kingamoeboid3887 great to know that.
@@ani.mp3 Yes I'm 🙂
That's as realistic of a maternal reaction as I've ever seen on film. I honestly think that's exactly how my mother would react if i gave her the same news. Angelica Houston is really good at her job, I've always liked her a lot.
This is exactly how my mum would react, and I love her so much for it.
''I'm moving in'' LMFAO
What is this movie called
Bryce Dallas is a beautiful creature
Her and Jessica Chastain
"Have you ever seen Terms of Endearment?" 😂
Why is this scene just so sad
cause homie got cancer :(
Idk maybe cos it's of a guy telling his mother he has cancer.... just a thought
All bryce Dallas Howard needs to do is wear green and she would look like the Hungary flag.
She did a really good job playing the Mom.
Anjelica Huston never disappoints
Sad to see ur kid go thu this
joseph gordon levitt is brilliant
I love this movie tbh
Anjelica looks fab with that hairstyle..
Have you watched breaking bad? I have cancer.
Muy buena película... excelente te muestra el valor de la amistad... hay amigos para toda la vida
omg it was so funny like when other two are sitting on the dining table with ackward reaction
Mood killer
Adam was very unfair with his mom , she was very sweet and always worried about him 😢
God JGL’s wig was so bad
Besides the words I hate you, this is something kids never wanna tell their parents.
Damm.....wish I had a mom 😕
The dad had no reaction. He just kept eating. What a good father
Hotstuff MELP! Crazy fun!
The dad has Alzheimer's disease, he can't really grasp the situation at hand
The dad has Alzheimer's disease in the movie but he shows some progress toward the end of the film.
Alas a misinformed pig
*Eyy b0ss!!! I habe de cancer b0ss!!!*
I can't imagine how my mum would feel if i told her this news. It would break her.. this scene makes me so sad
Honestly I tear up every time I watch this scene
love the movie! but the name always makes me think of "doctors say hes got a 50/50 chance of living...although theres only a 10% chance of that"
One of my favorite's never met
and if you do not take serious what i write that will be ur second most silly mistake, remember you did have a choice because when u are in the bad place you will, beg to go back in time dont let that happen, change now.you choose listen or not,but remember if you choose the wrong one,you will regret, what will you do are you that silly too take a risk,u will say now i dont care hahah,,but when u in the bad place u will say,,im sorry pls help give me a chance i did not know oh its so hot here please ,,,,will you listen maybe you will ask god to listen when you are in fire what then ,if you get same no reply,,,think, and remember jesus is king above all and u should be carful, are you dumb or wise u choose
RIP Education.
Bryce Dallas Howard has a bigger role in Jurrasic World
God damn, Anjelica Houston is brilliant.
This is the most underrated move ever.......
It's strange she doesn't ask what kind? Where? What stage? It's just generic cancer.
Pretty sure she was just too upset and in shock to think or care about such details in that exact moment, she just knew it was scary and a big deal. Given how desperate she was to be involved, wanting to move in, drive him to appointments, and overall take care of him, I'm sure she asked those questions later off-screen.
Dude if you f8nd iut your child has cancer your first reaction would be pain and hurt, you don't syay in your logical brain wondering what type of cancer
Just do not play Fortnite
Says you already have enough to take care of 1:24
Points at dad
Dad: tf is happening
Goin trought this now
His dad is so nonchalant 😂😂
He has alzheimers, he's not all there. That's why Adam said that his mom had enough on her plate.
I wouldn't tell anyone.
@hello kitty kat
i can confirm, i am jesus from home depot
Mom had Karen haircut
Idubz, same.
such a good movie
