That was a really pleasant watch. My step-brother and his partner live in Tallaght, though I haven't been over to see them there yet. I think I'll be getting a trip booked very soon after watching this. Wonderful poetry to reflect the stunning scenery and very interesting history. Thank you for the upload!
a culture and heritage beautifully complimented by his voice and lyrics this will definitely light the fire in the bellies of the irish great job, please share
Having lived in Tallaght for over thirty years, I am struck by how much I don't know, the historical importance and scenery is well captured, the narration is so melodic, a truly beautiful video
I've never heard of this place in my life, but this video just rocked up randomly while I'm trippin, and I love this Irish David Attenborough. Your poems are beautiful
So much history, beauty, culture and character in an area often frowned upon. So much to be proud of in Tallaght and fantastic people who live there! Amazing video, well done to all involved 👏
tallaght is such a beautifull place ballymorfinn wowall these places so magical i get lost in thinking when im up in them mountians such beauty and peace i hope there will be more acsses in the futre as in better trails as there is so much more than we can see
Great video and powerful poem. It's great to remind people of the wealth of heritage we have in Tallght rather than the usual negative press. We could maybe give the City Weir its correct name. It's situated in the old townland of Tymon and accessible by car from Firhouse, not Balrothery.
Thanks for your comments. The historic name originates from the monks of St Thomas, the dodder is accessible from both sides by foot. The townsland of Tymon North was very rural for centuries, and had a few hamlets in it, Timmon Lane and Balrothery cottages. The cottages had gardens that ran down to the lock keepers cottages, and the weir.
That was nicely put together. I'm just a few mins down the road in rathfarnham you should make one on rathfarnham think it would just as good as this one. Seeing the lakes in bohernabreena makes me wanna go fishing up there again.
Never seen Tallaght been shown in such a positive way before. I love it!
