    Just finished watching the previous TickTick video you made a few months ago then watched this-you are incredibly organized and I admire how thoroughly to explain things. Outstanding video!
    Please consider doing “what’s on my iPhone/iPad.” I’d love to know more of the tools you use.

    Thanks for more TickTickTips! I actually found your channel because I was getting into TickTick. I'm still working on my productivity system, and my working plan was to do as you said: early morning and before-bed task check-ins. I have yet to fully implement that, though.
    Also. I take more issue with your pronunciation of "et cetera" than I do with "tasks." ;)

    • @ChrisDaniels
      @ChrisDaniels  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh no, you've opened my eyes to another Chris-pronunciation-flaw. There are so many to be found.
      Good luck with the implementation! Make it a habit ya need just as much as coffee in the morning and sleep in the evening.

    I have been using Restyaboard for the last couple of years and it is the best free To-Do list and task management system I've ever used.

    Chris awesome channel and advice! How'd you get both sides to be black background? I can only get left side black on my desktop, other is white. Maybe you have a Mac? Like your visualization method. #2 you know of consultants for tick tick? Co has meager support (I've asked them the same) and I subscribe to channels like you to learn, but want hands on. Keep up good work!

    Great video! One question though, how do you know when to use "sub-tasks" and when to use "check-item"?

    • @tazl5004
      @tazl5004 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Check-item is just to list things following the same action, like a list of things to buy, people to call, articles to read etc. while sub-tasks are obviously distinctive tasks to accomplish

    I have been using TickTick for years till now, sometimes tried another app but all the time returned. But I used to use it probably wrong way - I made it the great stock of notes, reminders and repeating items with a bunch of categories and lost the real system of work. Therefore now I need not to search for new app but clean the mess I made in my TickTick and use it better way. Your video helped me with that.

    Hey Chris! Great videos. But, where do you live and process new, random tasks (not projects)? ie a client calls and asks you to send a copy of your demo reel to someone. It's not associated with a project, it's ad hoc. Also, how do you split personal vs business?

    Is it worth getting the premium version or shall I stick to free version? [PC and Android]

  • @hkia7893
    @hkia7893 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    So you only have three tags? (high, medium and low priority).
    -for medium priority tasks, you will only do it if you finished high priority tasks?

  • @kristiannabetch
    @kristiannabetch 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    My biggest struggle is accurately gaging how long a task will actually take so I've been using the Pomo timer to see if I can track that better. When you create a task you can set a time estimate and then start the timer on the task. I'd like to see more robust reporting on related to the Pomos, though.

    I watched your TickTick video months ago but decided to go with Todoist. Now back onto Ticktick and probably never leaving. Just wanna give my 2 cents, you should stop editing videos and start to get acting classes haha!

    Very Informative video
    I have a question- Let's say you start a project from scratch and you break it into smaller sub tasks. Did you plan it directly in tick tick or pre plan in some note taking apps?

    After watching your video I signed up for TickTick! Question... After I synced my google calendar, all of my time blocking events are showing up in my tasks views, but I only want my tasks. Do you know how I can use the time blocking from my google calendar, but not see it in my “today tasks” list? Thanks! (Hope this made sense 🤷🏼‍♀️)

    • @73cidalia
      @73cidalia 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You need to go into your calendar settings on the sidebar. It’s under Calendar subscription. You can toggle each calendar to “Show,” “Hide,” or “Show in Calendar.” You’ll want to select “Show in Calendar” for your time blocking calendar(s), and they’ll appear in your calendar views but not in your task views.

    Is the focus timer (Pomodoro) available via the Desktop App, or just the mobile version of Ticktick. I can't locate on DT version. I have the premium on trial

    • @RubyOnyxx

      Right-click a task and click 'Start Focus' or right click the TickTick icon in the bottom right of your desktop. Also you can use CTRL+SHIFT+P and it should pop up.

      @@ChrisDaniels lol don’t take it the wrong way, you have great looking hair. It’s kinda like Marie Forleo, she also has gorgeous long hair. I can’t stop looking at it 😄.
      You replying to me made me remember your channel and now I subscribed. Wanna follow your journey. And again, I think your content is great. Question, could you make videos about clickup and how to use it with the GTD method? Thanks. I’ll check out tick tick though
