  • The Great Train Robbery (of a Royal Mail Train) occurred on 8th August 1963, at Bridego Railway Bridge, located between Mentmore and Ledburn in Buckinghamshire.
My circular walk starts at The Grove Lock pub and heads along the Grand Union Canal towards Grove village. Just before the village of Slapton, I join a footpath heading across a field to the road where Bridego Railway Bridge is situated.
After a little fun with the drone, I retrace my steps back to the Grand Union Canal and cross the fields to Slapton village. Once through Slapton, I pass through fields alongside The River Ouzel and through a very overgrown footpath back to Grove.
The final section of the walk rejoins the Grand Union Canal, heading back to The Grove Lock pub.
This video was filmed in 4K on a GoPro Hero 11 and a DJI Mini 3 Drone, on a bright day in June 2024.
If you would like to suggest a walk for me to video, please let me know in the comments.
