I’d at Ohio State. They get given great rankings, media love, etc… every year. They constantly overachieve, never win meaningful games. And their best win or signature game their fans talk about from the past 3 or 4 years is a close loss to Georgia. It’s actually really pathetic, they brag about losing games bc they can’t accomplish anyrhing meaningful
Probably has to do with since 2004 ohio st has won 10+ games in 18 of those seasons the 2 being covid when they played 8 games and 2nd is the year the head coach got fired in the spring
Very good list. FSU shows once again how worthless these pre-season polls are. Az State's status suffered all year because they were picked last in the Big12 pre-season poll. Being at the top of the conference all season long never mattered, the game was rigged from the start. Starting official polls week 4 would be far better. Heck, it'd even increase ratings as people tune in to see all the networks' opinions.
Notre Dame, losing to NIU, every year losing big games and losing to weak opponents with a bad schedule, yeah they’re in the playoffs but damn ND is overrated. Alabama this year was disappointing, but I cut them some slack with a new coach.
Oklahoma State went 0-9 in the Big XII and got shut out 52-0 in their last game against Colorado. Purdue went 1-11 and got shut out 66-0 against IU. Why are they not on the list?
My list: 1. Florida State (Not even close. DG mentioned Michigan, but it was always going to be FSU, even before "The Game" 2. Oklahoma State (Ollie Gordon drop off is WILD) 3. Mizzou (Not even a playoff berth and got blown out TWICE) 4. Arizona (I feel bad for T-Mac 5. Utah (I know that injuries destroyed their offense and they beat Bama handedly, but 6-6?)
as an okie state fan we had so many returning starters this season, definitely one of the worst teams this season. OU has a lot to build off of for next year in my opinion theyve got a stout defense, and if they get mateer in the portal they could be dangerous next season
Ik you’re an osu fan, but take Michigan off. We are content and aren’t disappointed. We had toughest schedule in the nation in A REBUILDING YEAR. (#1 Oregon #3 Texas #6 OSU #8 Indiana, #20 Iiinois and now #11 bama.) our only bad loss was Washington. We recently won the natty, beat our rivals, and got good recruiting coming In.
i think you missed some stuff out of the michigan season. their recievers sucked too. also i dont think it was too bad of a year for a shit michigan team. beating both main rivals is good
you should’ve put oklahoma state on here
As an OKState fan. Absolutely. #3 in returning starters, played in the CCG, then proceed to lose all 9 conference games.
As an FSU alum and diehard Nole, the 2024 Seminoles were the most disappointing team of all-time. Unfathomable how we can go from 13-0 to 2-10.
as a USC fan very disappointing season for sure, going 1-5 in 1 score games and leading in all those in the 4th Q was awful.
My list:
5. Utah
4. UCF
3. Kentucky
2. Oklahoma State
1. Florida State
I have the same list except replace UCF with Kansas I really thought they'd be in the mix for a big 12 Championship
Agreed... I don't really think USC belongs at 2... OK St was expected to finish 3rd in the Big 12 and ended up 0-9 in conf play
Kansas, Mizzou, USC, Arizona, K-State, Michigan are definitely honorable mentions.
Arizona too

FSU, Oklahoma State, Utah, Arizona, Ole Miss

University of Arizona, 10-3 to 4-8.
Alabama too
9:3 is a amazing season for most teams let alone a team that has a brand new coaching staff so don’t even
@gwlm2679 nope higher expectations in Alabama. It was a failed year
Lol for a 12th season
Oklahoma State and Kentucky should be on this list

mississippi state should be here
Why? miss st was projected to finish 15th in the sec in the preseason
Why no Kentucky or Oklahoma state

How did the Golden Flashes do?

Norvell has had a weird tenure at Florida State.
What is it now
Kentucky is #6
