Hey jackson, just a suggestion. You should make a jackson concert bass in the pro series line, with better hardware and a maple or ebony fingerboard, keeping the 35" scale length and making it a 5 string. I believe others are looking for this same thing, and it would sell well too!
I'm buying one to play KoЯn let's see if it can slap instead of being mainly used for pick players because I love the shark fin inlays of Jacksons. Too bad Ibanez doesn't offer shark fin inlays on their cheaper basses and discontinued the destroyer series.

I have the 4 string version with transparent black and its the best damn bass I ever put my hands on and I played some of the big dog basses like the fender jazz deluxe bass and my Jackson would eat that fender jazz and its better than the few Ibanez basses that I owned throughout the years . I just love the neck and the way the body is contoured and the growl that it has is wicked . I play it on my ampeg ba 110 with my ampeg analog bass preamp pedal and this Jackson bass would give any bass a run for its money any day any time and thats a fact . and for 350 to 400 dollar range you cant find a better bass
I'm just planning on getting the 5 string version to cut the mids and slap the living crap out it. I prefer slapping or two finger galloping over pick playing because I cant play bass with a pick it's weird for me. The main reason why I want an Jackson JS3V is to play KoЯn even though Fieldy reccomends Ibanez its just about low action to create fret buzz and tuned to A standard to get that clicky tone.
I love my Jackson JS3V.. awesome bass. I've been using D'Addario ProSteel XL strings since I've bought it.. However for a change I'll be trying some DR Neon Green strings on it.. I dunno how they'll feel or sound or how long they'll last. I tend to change strings once they go dull.. as i like the bright zingy sound.Oh yea and I love the active pickups.. As I can put my Jackson JS3V bass into a P.A via a passive D.I box. Which is what I do everytime I gig with it. I don't use a bass amp where I gig. although it sounds great through my Fender Rumble 350 head v.1 and matching 4x10 cab v.1. I don't like the look of the new Fender Rumble series.

The Kelly birth was better some years ago ! Cliff Burton played it loud and Flemming Rasmussen tuned it down on him Cliff Burton should of been like Steve Harris and produced Master Of Puppets. I hate when the bass is low in demonstrations and the final mixes. Be like Steve Harris and have the bass loud in the final mix.
This bas is nothing special at all, especially its sound. It sounds as if its tone were permanently closed. Besides, when will people finally get sick and tired of those damned active pick-ups? Or do I just have to wait for the "active pick-ups fashion" to end?

no, the slightly older ones featured twin volume controls for each pickup. My JS3 4 string has 2 volumes. You're not alone!

Good question. It is the space between each string at the very back of the bass where the strings start off. Does that answer your question?

PietroRumenta Its got active EQ and passive pickups. Ive lookes into it. But a lot of people actually like that sound. Me included.
To be honest, this video doesn't really capture alot of the better tones you can get out of this bass...
PietroRumenta youtube has a natural compression so you really don’t hear what it’s actually capable of doing but I play Jackson bass and love them
