I must say, I'm totally impressed with that coating and fabric system. It's a lot of prep work, but your efforts are making a huge difference. The cost is a bit stiff, but then I'm from a different generation and find most things shockingly expensive. I'm sure glad I'm just a spectator and no longer participate in such hard work. We'll done!
Cost does seem steep but still compared to hiring a guy to come out and do it pennies on the dollar! Im hoping this replacement will outlast me! But time will tell!
Improvement made. That's good. You might have to come back to that product later, where it's thin. But it seems to be working well for now. That cut at the scupper appears to have helped a lot. The chair...😅... That farther forward pillow/ head rest is for when you're laying down if you have sleep apnea or snore your throat needs a little help staying open so that extra bump helps with that. That lift chair is excellent if you have a bad back or trouble getting out of chairs due to cartilage issues in your knees or other knee issues. See you next time.
Lol love the commercial voice. The gutters are looking good, I think the way it was you really did a great job. The water is going the way it should so that's a definite win. Be careful driving in that rain please. Stay healthy, happy and safe always 😊
YASSSSSON! Those gutters look stunning! I think the white is fantastic, it will be so easy to spot if some debris is blocking something up. It must be such a satisfying feeling to have that area done. Keep it up! ❤❤❤ P.S. you have a gift for making ads I don’t mind seeing- hoping you get many more!
Have missed the last few videos due to time constraints. Super impressed with your progress. The gutters look SO much better. Also, love the thumbnail 😂
We had rain like that in NJ on 6/30. People are crazy drivers and in the rain some are dangerous so I decided to turn around and get off the highways and stay closer to home last night. The radio was announcing flash flooding on so many spots along the highways. Loved your chair commercial. You had me laughing at the “break your neck” position, normal American size and 40 year old furniture 😂
The rain was so bad an off ramp was flooded, two cars drove off and get stuck because their engines sucked in so much water. I had to drive over a curb and then my car got stuck in the mud! Took 4 people to push it out!! It was a crazy time!
I personally wouldn’t be too worried about the deposited dirt. The gutter plane would have to be on a constant angle and as smooth as a pane of glass to keep small bits of dirt from settling, which is basically impossible. It just looks alarming because of the light color of the silicone coating.
Looks great! I know it’s a great feeling to see all your hard work paying off! Glad to see the sponsorship you deserve it and I loved the humor in your “ad”😂
My happiness quotient has exceeded the misery of those sadly neglected gutters. Or I am fooled by white vs. black. Either way, can we have a quick interior wall check, please? 😉👍
never seen any water come out of it. There are actually weap holes from that wall into the parking lot. But for now going to just keep it there hopefully it doesnt fall on me !
Those gutters look like they're working well now, congratulations! I'm going to go out on a limb and say the cost of the product is worth it if it keeps the water out of your walls. Yes, it may be expensive but it's cheaper than allowing your walls to remain damp. May I suggest keeping a change of clothes in your car for building emergencies? My husband has a backpack that he used to carry an entire change of clothes plus toiletries in when he worked across a bridge that would sometimes get closed if we had a bad enough wind storm. So if he got caught on the wrong side of the bridge after work he could get a motel room and not have to wear the same clothes to work in the morning.
I know absolutely nothing about construction or renovation, but I feel like I'm learning. I'm sure in a month my husband will need to talk me out of trying to do big projects around the house....I have been thinking we need a new porch.
@@LM-zh9lfso true! We bought a house in Denver and moved across country, all the while, I was planning to demo the wall between the kitchen and dining room. The wall in question held up one of the bedrooms…on to plan B or was it D…
Looks like it’s flowing good compared to what they were. Looks good too. The silicone really cleans the gutters up. You did a great commercial on that chair!
Love your videos. They are informative and humorous as well. I'm glad you are getting sponsors. Love your commercials they are funny. Jeep up the great work.
In sewing they make relief cuts around rounded edges and even square edges too if I’m not mistaken. It reduces bulk. I don’t know if that translates to that material.
I strongly suggest trying a corded heat gun with putty knife to remove the old paint. I have used that technique to remove large areas of caked on paint and it works fast and effective. Used the $20 HFT gun and still haven't managed to break it or burn it out.
Im hoping it will just evaporate easily but time will tell! Silicone is designed to be able to take ponding water so that was one of the reasons I chose it!
I missed so many spots haha. I had to go back and touch them all up, i also need to apply the caulking tube for all those repair spots that have big gaps! One step at a time!
When you first started I thought you probably needed a professional roofing company. But you have done a beautiful job and you are definitely spending more time on it than any company you might hire. And just think of the money you are saving by doing it yourself!! Great job! And you have a perfect attitude!!🥰
I have been thinking about the application method with the roller. That product seems plenty thin enough to spray on. That would get all of the cracks and crevices much better. You could then come back through with the roller to even any excess. Just a thought. Keep up the work buddy, your making good progress.
Yes you can! It requires at minimum 6000 psi sprayer, most commercially available air sprayers including my own can only run 3000 max psi. Also a ton of mineral spirits needs to be run through it to clean it. I figured for the small section at a time would be easier just to roll it on!
@@watchere I thought of it because I just got done spraying my Jeep with Fluid Film, which is much thicker than that 988. That was using a compressor at 90psi, not an airless. Only issue would be gun capacity, which isn't but about 1.5 quarts. Would still be great for crevasses though. Would only have to clean the gun and seal the jar.
every video i watch these days has the youtuber trying to sell home security systems, healthy green drinks, little mini chainsaws; none of which i enjoy watching, but this time, i absolutely love your presentation of this chair! I'm a fairly 'normal' american and would love to get one, but my normal american soc.security check isn't big enuf. But if it was, i'd get one and say it was because of your 'commercial'!
Yeah - Looks like the repairs are working, seems to be flowing just like you planned. Hope this solves your issues with the gutters. Seems the way dirt/debris accumulate, it will be a constant choir to keep them cleared.
Im hoping so! I think alot of the dirt has been just sitting on the roof for decades. Once i power wash the roof a few times give it a good scrub and recoat the roof im hoping the debris will minimize. That and i should trim all the trees around the house to decrease the foliage falling down. Outside of that I think there is nothing much else i can do but hope nothing crazy falls on the roof!
Wow Jason, what a difference. It is a lot of work, but my goodness, it is so worth it. The end results are fantastic. Well done. One side down, one to go, then on to the roof. I don't normally watch the promotions and tend to skip through them, but honestly, I love the video voice over explaining and enjoying your witty comments... even the advert.... watched it all the way through.....lol. Even loved the chair, pity I am in Australia as shipping costs would be far more that the cost of the item. I look forward to the next instalment. 😊😊
You need to check the down spout in ground pipes to ensure they are in good repair. Gettting the gutters sealed will be a good start,Still need to seal the areas meeting the trim from the roof.

yeah a new star is born....
That's the last time Flexispot is going to sponsor you, Yason 🤣🤣🤣
That ad was the best😂
That system you figured out? Impressive! It looks really great!
It doesn't leak that's the most important the little that doesn't drain will dry up.

I enjoy your sense of humor.😆
That is one of the best sponsor skits I've heard in a while that had me rolling😂
Congrats on getting the sponsors! You deserve them!
Thank you so much!
Best ad read of the year, so far.

From NJ too and was heading back to VA. Crazy drivers everywhere!,
I have to 2nd that about Jersey drivers 😂
In Midwest we have been having continuous and sometimes heavy rain. In between 95 degree days.
The power lift on the sofa was actually really impressive

@@watchere anytime bro. I love the content. It overtook my love for watching Chateau renovation videos instantly
You have done a fantastic job. You have really worked hard to get that section done. Excited to see whats next.
Excellent fix on those pesky gutters.
Re: the drain. It could allow water from behind the retaining wall to flow onto the parking lot.
Great perseverance = great results! Fantastic job Jason! 💦🫶👍
The comfy chair !
Those gutters look great. Well done
I'm a perfectionist, I will sit through everything
They’re not the usual kind of gutters. You kind of had to go to this trouble and expense OR tear the place down😂. Enjoyed the video, Yason❣️
I personally wouldn’t be too worried about the deposited dirt. The gutter plane would have to be on a constant angle and as smooth as a pane of glass to keep small bits of dirt from settling, which is basically impossible. It just looks alarming because of the light color of the silicone coating.
This video is so interesting. It is like Teflon now in the gutters for the rain to go pouring down the spouts. Great job!
it is mesmerising to see how hydrophobic the surface is and all the water just rolling off!
Moving along. Use food coloring to see how the flow is moving along. It will also identify low spots. Thank you for sharing
Thanks for the tip!
This looks like a solid fix! Hopefully, it’ll last your lifetime. Great work!
I hope so too!!
The gutters look much better great job
thank you!
Your DIY skills are so far, quite impressive. Your broad knowledge is a treat to listen to. Keep up the good work
Your gutters are a work of art!

Was fun watching the ad.
glad you enjoyed it!
The final coat down 😂😂😂😂😂😂

I will after a few days! just to make sure its drying out more!
Do you think you'll do a walk through of what you plan in what order? would love to hear what you have in mind for the 'schedule' of renovation.
I need to do a new video of the walk through and talk about the plans! That's on the list!
That hole in the wall is to allow water to drain from behind the wall into the parking lot.
never seen any water come out of it. There are actually weap holes from that wall into the parking lot. But for now going to just keep it there hopefully it doesnt fall on me !
"Look at this visibility it is horrendous". Me wondering why he doesn't turn on the windshield wipers.
Auto wipers just came out of a tunnel. Maybe two seconds before they turn on. But was bad even with the wipers on. but fair point lmao
Jason, you are doing a phenomenal job. Looks amazing!!😊
Haha, sponsorship ad was cute ;-) It cracked me up.
Thank you!
Great Job. A lot of nice progress. Loved the chair infomercial...Keep up the great work and can't wait for Side Quest Friday!

It starts off with the porch and before you know it you are wondering out loud if a wall is load bearing 🤣🫶

You are decoupaging it 😄
with my shoe prints!
Looking great Yason!
Drenched but happy 😂
You are doing such a great job. It reminds me of winter ice it’s so smooth. Well done!
Thank you so much Anna!
chair ad was great! wish I had extra money to buy my elders one of those. They work
They are surprisingly cheaper vs the competition, they have sales and such too under 500 for the whole thing shipped to your door!
Looks like it’s flowing good compared to what they were. Looks good too. The silicone really cleans the gutters up. You did a great commercial on that chair!
thank you!!
Hey, I could have used that chair when I broke my hip! Congrats on the gutters! U B the man!!

Drop a few drps of red food coloring in the rain and see if it flows
It looks good...😊
PS we need to talk
About the different socks
Worst case scenario, you might need a squeegee after sustained rainstorms. Just so it's not sitting water for days. But overall a huge improvement.
Im hoping it will just evaporate easily but time will tell! Silicone is designed to be able to take ponding water so that was one of the reasons I chose it!
Put your mic on a clip on your shirt. You really don't have to hold it. You have a good mic which picks up your voice just fine.
