Hi all, I'm one of the "generous Irish people". I'm a clerical officer in a big hospital. I co-manage staff in triple digit numbers and I can only afford to live in a box room in an over packed house share. Can you imagine what it's like when you have no hope in your own country, meanwhile paying for people like this to have a better life than you? As soon as they leave tent city and get accommodation they have a better life than me, it took me 15 years to build my career to the money I'm on now and it's still not enough to live as well as a migrant.

I’m Australian but my father was born and raised in Offaly. In March of 2022, I applied for my Irish passport because after the Covid chaos had simmered down, I thought why not work a year abroad in Ireland and visit family as I was eligible as a dual citizen. After 6 months of phone calls and emails of being told the same things and resending every form of valid self identification 3+ times to the DFA. By July, I eventually went to Ireland with my Australian passport because that was originally the plan and I genuinely thought I would get approved because I ticked all the boxes, I even had a job lined up and accommodation with family. All I needed was my Irish passport to have approval to live and work in the country. Long story short, by September the application was terminated because it was left unapproved for 6 months and I had to go back to Australia after my 90 days 😭 The Irish government and embassy are a sad joke and the country is now beyond bolloxed. Truly depressing.

There is a very impresive mosque in Clonskee a very nice neighborhood of Dublin, with huge and beautiful gardens at the front and at the back. It has toilets, a coffee shop and restaurant, and a supermarket, all surrounded by railings, and it has security 24hs a day, plenty of room to put at least 500 tents in there. Wouldn't it be better for those people to go there instead of sleeping rough on the streets? I'm sure their community leaders would like to lead by example and to welcome all there, until they can find work and siutable accomodation to live.

The same goes for the Ukrainian that are here as refugees. Their country got billions in aid to keep fighting the war, after they refused a peace agreement that was much better for them than the situation they are in now. I understand all those men leaving their country because they don't want to fight, but why can't their Government send 5% or 10% of those billions, to the countries with large colonies of Ukrainian expats to help a bit? I’m Australian but my father was born and raised in Offaly. In March of 2022, I applied for my Irish passport because after the Covid chaos had simmered down, I thought why not work a year abroad in Ireland and visit family as I was eligible as a dual citizen. After 6 months of phone calls and emails of being told the same things and resending every form of valid self identification 3+ times to the DFA. By July, I eventually went to Ireland with my Australian passport because that was originally the plan and I genuinely thought I would get approved because I ticked all the boxes, I even had a job lined up and accommodation with family. All I needed was my Irish passport to have approval to live and work in the country. Long story short, by September the application was terminated because it was left unapproved for 6 months and I had to go back to Australia after my 90 days 😭
The Irish government and embassy are a sad joke and the country is now beyond bolloxed. Truly depressing.

There is a very impresive mosque in Clonskee a very nice neighborhood of Dublin, with huge and beautiful gardens at the front and at the back. It has toilets, a coffee shop and restaurant, and a supermarket, all surrounded by railings, and it has security 24hs a day, plenty of room to put at least 500 tents in there. Wouldn't it be better for those people to go there instead of sleeping rough on the streets? I'm sure their community leaders would like to lead by example and to welcome all there, until they can find work and siutable accomodation to live.

So why are they in Dublin? Jordan isn't a problematic country...and they flew to Luton...it's beyond ridiculous. The politicians need to do something before it totally spirals into violence against these people. Britain and Ireland simply can't cope with the financial burden of all this. It's unbelievably frustrating.
Ireland is underpopulated. Majority of Irish are outsiders of Europe in north America and Australasia and they view those lands as theirs and their offsprings birthright. They and their children tell the people of those lands and region that they're not welcome in their own lands and region.
Those tens of millions of Irish should ideally all go back to Europe as the potato famine and the "troubles" ended long ago😮
