    “STAY OUT OF MY HEAD AND WATCH THE BALL” - Ron Washington
    I love it!

    Even better that it was a non pro because he had to go in depth explaining.

    Ron Washington is so underrated and an awesome baseball guy full of so much wisdom out there. I love watching him do this drill and talk about baseball. Guy knows his stuff.

      Nautilus711 I don’t think you know the reason why he’s on his knees. Ron wants you to get memorized with the last hop so no matter if your balanced or off balanced you still know what to do with your hands

    • @f1david
      @f1david 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The reason he’s on his knees is to take the bottom half out for this drill. It’s all about the glove and hands in this drill. There is another guy who has a similar video. That’s the way he explains it.

    • @stevesand8845

      @Nautilus711 haha…. That’s why Atlanta has the least amount of infield errors, all 4 starting infielders have done this drill every day for more than 3 years….. Freeman, Albies, Swanson, Riley….. so I think he knows his shit

    Wash is one of the best in the business. What a teacher. I would run thru a brick wall for a coach like him. Wisdom, perfection of your technique, how to catch everything hit in your area. This is just pure gold for anybody teaching kids how to play at any level. Wash is an American treasure. Never get tired of these videos.

      Just like every child.
      And a few pros.. watch the other videos of Ron.. he explains that some take a year to click in what he’s saying.. get the motion.. not the result.. the result comes from the motion..

    Nice Vid Mr Washington. It shows how to teach such fielding techniques to non professional player.
    A very useful demo for all coaches out there; if they want to improve the fielding skills of players, that is what needs to be done to fix fielding flaws. Don't just shout at the players "do this..." or "do that..." without showing how to do it.
    Get to work like Mr. Washington demonstrates in this video instead.

    The Greatest coaching GOAT Ron Washington will coach the hell out of you. I feel that 1 hr of drilling with coach would be equal to a year of training.

All intense baseball parents need to go to Palestine with me for a week. After that week watching the Palestinian children, they will finally tell their kid the three most important words a kid can hear in sports. Just Have Fun!

I stay on different platforms watching trainers and drills so I can implement with my Son’s. Any help I can be just let me know. My boys are soon to be high schoolers.. and made junior varsity team as 8th graders… but we stay working everyday.. hitting throwing running

    Dimino did a good job for someone learning the techniques and fundamentals. But he was slapping through the ball! Wash doesn't like slapping through the ball. Dimino, hats off, sir. You did pretty well for a first-timer.
