I will soon pass Ch.11, and prove them wrong rs They depreciate Miagiuk too much, but they're not right at all, cats don't miss that much, mainly on Bosses, they clear very fast. My struggle is not "killing" Monsters or Bosses, but survive when 2 or 3 hit received already kill me. Armor Epic lvl40 yet, no one PE item.
Totally agree with u, love the feel and instant hit when using the spear. Staff can be very OP but sometimes too many projectiles from the staff make me lose my focus and randomly got hit by the enemy lol...

It’s become such an issue I’m close to quitting outright, myself. No amount of farming or loot boxes is getting me so much as a common spear or staff. I do have so many living bombs that I have one that’s yellow now, though. 😐
@@LogisticSleet8 just stop upgrading your tornado. I have a max perfect epic tornado and I don't even use it anymore, I use epic death scythe instead which is a lot stronger. What level are you stuck on?
I’m liking the spear a lot but I don’t like when something gets to close to me and it doesn’t even hit them. I’ve noticed with the staff you can stop for a second and the initial start up will just leave an arrow there and it’ll fire on its own. The staffs startup is basically instant it just doesn’t fire for half a second
Yeah, with the staff, it feels like you can't stutter step properly, but you totally can. You just have to learn to trust that the shot will go off correctly.
I have just finished the final available chapter with the PE staff. Yes, you are totally right about having to rely on proper abilities to drop....but when you get those drops, you are unstoppable. I haven't tried the spear yet so I cannot say I like one or the other more. Once I broke away from the sawblade I was able to push deeper into the game.
I'm a saw blade main and yes I've cleared the whole game with PE saw blade. The combo of frost bracelet plus saw blade's epic skill is extremely OP as it basically assures the deaths of the first 2 mobs in every stage before they can even move. Give it a try! It definitely isn't the weakest weapon in archero
The spear go through wall prob because of how the projectile starting location are a little bit farther than other type of weapon, which in some case should be at the other side of the wall, while you stading very close on this side.
With the spear, the projectile spawns slightly further out from the player than any of the other weapons due to the animation. This is what makes it “go over walls”, what’s actually happening is it’s just spawning the other side of the wall. One thing I’ve noticed you can do with this is “shotgun” the enemy, which means getting close with as many extra projectiles as possible and making every projectile hit instantly for hugs damage.
I figured from another commenter thanks! And I talked about that but didn't reference it as shotgun. I don't recommend it, it's a very unsafe position!

@superteeds i believe the spear going through walls is because of your projectile leaves from the spear head which is slightly father range than the other weapons and the animation goes over the wall barely. is what it looks like to me and makes sense. probably not intended but who knows
To comment on the melee monsters with the staff, the projectiles float in place after they are fired. So if a melee monster runs at you try your best to get a shot off before dodging so the floating shot can hit them.
Hi Teeds, The shooting through wall is not just for the spear. I use helix with the saw blade and if i stand right next to some walls i can throw through it. I thought it was due to helix being slightly bigger than everyone else, and i have noticed that even easier to throw through walls when you turn into a giant.
Hey teeds, you know, my arrows went through walls. I chose front arrow+1 Multishot Multishot Attack speed (major)2 times. It glitched so hard... Atreus fired 6 arrows per second.
Just commenting on this video so that you will see this. I beat level 7 after watching your video ..but I found something out that you did not mention or at least at all remember that you did. The final boss is a 1000 times easier to beat if you stay near a wall because it's fast ball attack is nullified when it hits a wall. Didn't know if it was to late to tell anyone :)
The spear is insane ATM ive both in epic and it's far superior and easier for mobs, saying that the staff also has a neat trick with its delayed shot, it's possible for my monsters to walk right into the staffs shot resulting in getting hit by all projectiles. So massive damage, works well at some bosses that like to get close 😂, Happy new year too! You're amazing 👍
Still testing both out, but I only have a rare staff and the uncommon spear. If I get diagonal arrows the staff keeps up with my maxed perfect epic tornado. (Never could get used to the scythe, on paper it’s probably better and it kills melees, but I don’t really struggle with them and the tornado kills bosses which the scythe lags in.) For speed runs and farming the staff (and spear with good rng) out performs my tornado. In the chapter I’m stuck on, the staff (though being about half the level of my tornado) did the same as my tornado except it couldn’t handle hoards of melee units, which the tornado could handle with the built in pierce. I think the spear will face similar problems until I get them leveled up.
Using the staff plus stacking up the arrows massively plus bouncing wall / ricochet / piercing makes every level pretty easy so far. I am only level 32 so I don't know if this will work in the late game but I am sticking to this tactic for now. It doesn't matter if those skills reduce the damage of the staff because we are flooding the screen with it, that should be the goal :)
From what I've seen on Reddit, pretty much every Chapter 13 speed run posted on there is with Spear. I am using a lvl24 Epic Staff for farming and it's great for that. The projectiles do get too much sometimes though. I'll level the Spear too, just neeeeeeeed scrolls :)
Staff is super good for me because diagonal arrows drops frequently and the tracking means it hits most of its arrows. And its so sattisfying to fill the room with tracking projectiles
I agree with your eval, both new weapons are definitely better than the old and for early game/no eng abilities the spear is definitely better. It's just that the staff with good rng is easily better and it only takes 1 good run to pass a chapter so I feel overall the staff is better for pushing. the three upgrades I'd be looking for the staff are diagonal arrows (2 of them would be great), multi shot and ATTACK SPEED. Speed makes you forget all together about the delayed first shot!

Important to mention the staff doesn't allow for stutter stepping, which significantly increases the performance of slow-shooting weapons like the scythe and spear. I haven't used either staff not spear much, but Judging by analysis from this video I would wager a skilled stutter-stepper would make best use of the spear. Thoughts?
Hey Tom. Staff actually does allow for stuttefstepping. All weapons allow it and stutterstep actually does very well with it, just takes a bit of practice 😊
The sawblade has been my main weapon for a long time, and ive stuck to it despite having fully levelled versions of all the older weapons. Its super fast attack speed combined with its relatively strong knockback makes it a solid weapon for late game, especially because you dont have to stutterstep to have a good attack speed and can focus on dodging and positioning. It really only has one pitfall, which is its damage, but that is countered by a) ricochet, which causes a huge dps buff when projectiles rapidly move between two enemies, and b) all of the various upgrade systems, which has made acquiring a high damage rating much easier. I highly recommend the sawblade to anyone who doesnt like stuttersteping
Been waiting on this vid. Im not certain but i thought the spear paired best with Multishot. The other weapons has a slight delay with the first and second projectile shot when using multishot but due to the projectile speed of the spear the second shot is mixed in with the first making it look like one projectile but does separate damage for each. Like i said i don't know. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Hi SuperTeeds I wanted to mention to you that actually the spear attacking through the wall is NOT A GLITCH. If you notice from your game plays technically speaking the spear is actually going through the wall. Therefore at the tip of the spear THERE IS NOTHING OBSTRUCTING THE SPEARS ATTACK so IT IS A LEGAL ATTACK. Furthermore since the hero is doing a stabbing motion from the right side AS LONG AS THERE IS NOTHING OBSTRUCTING THE TIP everything is a legal attack so therefore it is possible to attack through walls so long as you account for the attacking motion going through OR AROUND the wall. Also it is easier to tap attack for either the spear or the staff when you increase its attack speed
I use the the saw blade because I like to be able to get a room done fast and if you get a bunch of attack speeds and a few attack buffs then it can shred through monsters
From the old ones, I still can't decide between Death Scythe and Tornado, I have both Epic lvl40 and enjoy them, but I personally think that if I had all weapons same lvl, Epic or higher, I would be using Staff as my best.
@@SuperTeeds At start, I preferred Tornado to avoid the "need" of skill like Piercing Shot, Bouncy Wall, and Ricochet, but now in Chapter 11 I agree with Scythe as best over Tornado, but even in the Daily Challenges I see that with lots of monsters, it's horrible to hit them 1 by 1 with Scythe instead killing them all quickly with Tornado. Both are necessary for me, wish to keep and improve both ^^)

I mean, of course, high damage is not good if you miss most attacks because of its travel time, spear shoots slightly faster than scythe but has a 3 times faster projectile than sawblade. It's awesome. And feels nice with laser bats (?

Agreed Daniel! It's worth it to use rare tornado due to sheer damage output. Ch 7 is hard, everyone gets stuck. I would farm ch 3 or ch 6 to build stats and equipment and get epic tornado before attempting to complete ch 7
I have both staff and spear at level 60 legendary and I find spear to be more op than staff. Especially with frozen bracelet, ur spear will take out most of the goons leaving probably just a few mobs in the level for you to clear. The time to clear per level decreases compare to the staff.
Hunter staff got me trough Chapter 11. it's just waaay too strong against double archers if you have diagonal arrows and rico. It just has a lot of abilities that synergise very well like crit and bouncy.
I usually only use the death scythe but since the spear came out, feels smooth strong and fast, still debating which I Wana use more, death scythe just be clearing mobs fast😂
My crits with a purple staff are 10,000+ meanwhile the spear gives me a consistent 2000-3000 plus hit once it’s hit enough monsters. Overall both are extremely good but I prefer the staff due to the strength of the crits and the consistency( reminds me of the sythe)
Just pickedup a great spear and dismantled my bow to make it Rare. Currently its lvl 28/30 and Im loving it. Im level 39 and on chpt 7 atm. No epics atm been playing 2 weeks f2p

You left out the biggest con of the staff: due to the homing trait the of the projectiles, they can home in on a completely different mob than what you want. I love the staff, it feels so powerful, but the fact that it can home in on a different mob than what you're targeting just.. makes me so angry.
I second that! It's crucial to be able to control which enemy you target and destroy. Might be worth the trade-off for damage dealt from combined diagonal arrows though.
i was in the same situation and i bought meowgik trust me its worth it , now i deel more dammages i pass chapters gets more gems , more money , more good items
I beat the entire game with the tornado, although it is my only legendary weapon i own. So that might be the reason I find it so much better. I'm just hoping they will add more levels soon.
Well not about the weapons. But i do wish there is a setting where we can make our attacks more translucent. The tornado and staff attacks make it very difficult to see enemy attacks!
Iv just got the staff ledgenry and at lvl 42 and I was using a perf epic spear at lvl 40 I feel my play style suits the staff and tho when yiu stack multi type skills when you flood the field with it and ricishade skill everything just melts away
@@sherifdream1006 When rings and armor doesnt improve damage, why not avoiding getting damage yourself? Also the damage vs ranged and vest of dex lightning are the best abilities

The staff is really good with multiple arrow abilities!
The spear actually hitting through the walls is not a bug at all, its a property of the weapon. If its a mistake or not, now thats another thing

The sawblade has been my main weapon for a long time, and ive stuck to it despite having fully levelled versions of all the older weapons. Its super fast attack speed combined with its relatively strong knockback makes it a solid weapon for late game, especially because you dont have to stutterstep to have a good attack speed and can focus on dodging and positioning. It really only has one pitfall, which is its damage, but that is countered by a) ricochet, which causes a huge dps buff when projectiles rapidly move between two enemies, and b) all of the various upgrade systems, which has made acquiring a high damage rating much easier. I highly recommend the sawblade to anyone who doesnt like stuttersteping

Is bright spear going to drop on Chapter 3? Been farming for a while. Or it have specific chapter for it to drop? I'm Level 37, Chapter 8.

I had this happen to me, but if you get walk through walls while using the staff, it let's you shoot through walls
Been waiting on this vid. Im not certain but i thought the spear paired best with Multishot. The other weapons has a slight delay with the first and second projectile shot when using multishot but due to the projectile speed of the spear the second shot is mixed in with the first making it look like one projectile but does separate damage for each. Like i said i don't know. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

@@sdy.deathcall9608 multishot works like it does with every other weapon and works very well with Spear. It is two projectiles with Sep damage just hard to tell because the speed is so fast

The projectile is a laser, kinda like the laser beams from the ranged bats

Hi SuperTeeds I wanted to mention to you that actually the spear attacking through the wall is NOT A GLITCH. If you notice from your game plays technically speaking the spear is actually going through the wall. Therefore at the tip of the spear THERE IS NOTHING OBSTRUCTING THE SPEARS ATTACK so IT IS A LEGAL ATTACK. Furthermore since the hero is doing a stabbing motion from the right side AS LONG AS THERE IS NOTHING OBSTRUCTING THE TIP everything is a legal attack so therefore it is possible to attack through walls so long as you account for the attacking motion going through OR AROUND the wall.
Also it is easier to tap attack for either the spear or the staff when you increase its attack speed

I use the the saw blade because I like to be able to get a room done fast and if you get a bunch of attack speeds and a few attack buffs then it can shred through monsters
I don't know but my perfect epic scythe feels a lot stronger than my epic staff. I don't even come close to my score with the staff

From the old ones, I still can't decide between Death Scythe and Tornado, I have both Epic lvl40 and enjoy them, but I personally think that if I had all weapons same lvl, Epic or higher, I would be using Staff as my best.
I prefer the Scythe over the Tornado. I struggle with the Tornado's no knock back 😞
@@SuperTeeds At start, I preferred Tornado to avoid the "need" of skill like Piercing Shot, Bouncy Wall, and Ricochet, but now in Chapter 11 I agree with Scythe as best over Tornado, but even in the Daily Challenges I see that with lots of monsters, it's horrible to hit them 1 by 1 with Scythe instead killing them all quickly with Tornado. Both are necessary for me, wish to keep and improve both ^^)

I mean, of course, high damage is not good if you miss most attacks because of its travel time, spear shoots slightly faster than scythe but has a 3 times faster projectile than sawblade. It's awesome. And feels nice with laser bats (?
I'm struggling with my weapons, I have every weapon on rare, but just the bow at epic, shall I just use the bow? I'm in chapter 7, if this is affecting which weapon I should choose. Sorry for my English.

Agreed Daniel! It's worth it to use rare tornado due to sheer damage output. Ch 7 is hard, everyone gets stuck. I would farm ch 3 or ch 6 to build stats and equipment and get epic tornado before attempting to complete ch 7
@Sun Wolf just have to get lucky farming. I've found whichever weapon I'm using seems more likely to drop in battle, no data to back this up though.
I have a lv40 purple boomerang and just got a purple staff and blue spear. Is either of them worth upgrading and switching over to?

I have both staff and spear at level 60 legendary and I find spear to be more op than staff. Especially with frozen bracelet, ur spear will take out most of the goons leaving probably just a few mobs in the level for you to clear. The time to clear per level decreases compare to the staff.
Is the knife good? The one with high atk spd but low damage?
Hunter staff got me trough Chapter 11. it's just waaay too strong against double archers if you have diagonal arrows and rico. It just has a lot of abilities that synergise very well like crit and bouncy.
It hurts me cause the spear looks so fun and good but I'm about to get a perfect death scythe
Destroy it, and upgrade spear instead. If u got it ofc
I usually only use the death scythe but since the spear came out, feels smooth strong and fast, still debating which I Wana use more, death scythe just be clearing mobs fast😂
Do you know which Chapter is Teeds stopped now?
My crits with a purple staff are 10,000+ meanwhile the spear gives me a consistent 2000-3000 plus hit once it’s hit enough monsters. Overall both are extremely good but I prefer the staff due to the strength of the crits and the consistency( reminds me of the sythe)
Just pickedup a great spear and dismantled my bow to make it Rare. Currently its lvl 28/30 and Im loving it. Im level 39 and on chpt 7 atm. No epics atm been playing 2 weeks f2p
I have an epic tornado and I just got an epic brightspear...My tornado is lvl 31 so should I sell it and get the bright spear to lvl 31 ?Or I keep the tornado ?Pls someone suggest me something ❤

You left out the biggest con of the staff: due to the homing trait the of the projectiles, they can home in on a completely different mob than what you want.
I love the staff, it feels so powerful, but the fact that it can home in on a different mob than what you're targeting just.. makes me so angry.
I second that! It's crucial to be able to control which enemy you target and destroy. Might be worth the trade-off for damage dealt from combined diagonal arrows though.
@@MrBucklehairy oh for sure, especially when combined with Bouncy wall, and peicing shot. Then, it doesn't matter what the projectiles home in on.

I beat the entire game with the tornado, although it is my only legendary weapon i own. So that might be the reason I find it so much better. I'm just hoping they will add more levels soon.

In wave battles with diagonal arrows and other abilities attached I stood by one spawning enemy and instantly wiped it out when it spawned .
It winds up me making a bullet hell for the enemies like the Thunder Staff in Soul Knight.

Well not about the weapons. But i do wish there is a setting where we can make our attacks more translucent. The tornado and staff attacks make it very difficult to see enemy attacks!
Iv just got the staff ledgenry and at lvl 42 and I was using a perf epic spear at lvl 40 I feel my play style suits the staff and tho when yiu stack multi type skills when you flood the field with it and ricishade skill everything just melts away
I always used sawblade, but the Staff is so much more fun and i grinded from ch8 to 11 in 1 day :D Staff so broken :)
I think the staff is overpowered once you have diagonal arrows, front arrows, and multishot.
