Agreed that Lookout Mountain has to be one of best views . It was nice to see the rifle pits and you could really see it was a great defensive position for frontal assault, but also a death trap when being flanked. Great job bud!!!
I guess grandpa squarepants was right, don't [fight on a mountainside]...Especially One Going Up At A Ninety Degree Angle! 😆But in all seriousness, great video as always. Really enjoying the Chickamauga & Chattanooga series.
The Duches county regiment the 150th N.Y. fought and died there. It must have been hell fighting there. I was a reenactor as a corporal in that unit. I went there in 2021. If you ever have a chance to go there dont pass it up. It was really was something to see. All the regiments from N.Y. are on the monument there. My wife and I had a great time there.

It’s hard to imagine the chaos of the fighting combined with the weather there. Thanks for watching bud!

If you’re ever interested I can show you the Union Earthworks on Moccasin Bend. 10 Indiana & 89th Ohio are still clearly visible.
Next time I’m in town I’d love that! I had no idea those existed.
