When she was trying to get her head unstuck the the gate came off the wall and fell over and she snapped her neck. We were force to put her down because she was completely paralysed. It's not very good for puppies to go up and down stairs, i can't remember why, but it's not very good. We have a lab puppy (well, she's a teen), but she is not allowed to go up many stairs, because it isn't good for them! :)
