That 2nd phase theme honestly is the definition of boss themes that go so hard. We got opera singers and a whole band on this bgm that only plays in one specific stage, on only the 2nd half of the boss fight, in a mobile tower defense game where 90% of the game is mostly chibi-fied versions of everyone. Still one of the best themes in the entire game.
Bruh i read as i play so by the time i fought the boss i was blinded by tears and the music changing on the second phase made it into a religious experience, thank you hypergryph
I've only seen the illustrations for the event, dont know the story fully, but i can already guess that it's scary and depressing. This music, though epic, just prepares you for the blast of sadness and depression after each fight. I wish for this to be already on global, Gotta read it

This event has good references, has referenced two of real life songs, Ständchen and Flight of the bumblebee with one of the CG's having a harry potter reference aswell!!!
The lobby theme is also a re-instrumentation of RL Czerny's Piano Concerto in D Minor. I only recognized it cause I've performed it, so I wouldn't be surprised if at least one of the other songs is also a reference

Best soundtracks HG ever made in AK. All of them including Eben's EP are really really beautiful. I hope HG make more classical music themed ost again in the future
hands down one of the best stories ever crafted in arknights the osts really just enhances and amplifies the emotions conveyed an absolutely great masterpiece of a story that tells of a bittersweet tragedy towards its climax and to its end now arknights got me feeling all melancholic cause of this event
I love the transition from the transformation theme to the boss theme to Ständchen, it just sounds so seamless. Great job with the editing! I listen to this video a few times a day since the music in this event is so incredible 😍
finally commenting on this now that i played through lingering echoes back in december and finished the main story. (spoilers in the next paragraph for those who wish to avoid!) what a sad, sad tale. i've been consistently impressed with the side stories we've gotten but lingering echoes is definitely my personal favorite so far, and i think that the event really wouldn't have effected me the way it did without the music. listening to kreide's second-phase boss music is leaving me teary-eyed all over again.
Man i thought the lethania story would be the half anniversary one , but i still have hopes considering this one seems to be more of a introduction of sort
@@laudza Died in the story, they are relatives of the Witch King of Leithania(basically Arknights German Voldemort), the Witch King's mind is still in their mind as a song(Leithanian magics use music as spells, they use orchestra batons as wands), Kreide becomes the Witch King temporarily and died
@@lazuardialdi2646 Well, it's just like that. And the Witch King use infected people as remote controlled wand, doing things like remotely detonate infected people by using magic to suddenly accelerate their infection till they die because of originium rock sticking out of their body and blow up
Music is a common medium for arts and spells in Leithania, Lava i believe plays the piano since she was taught by Logos to improve her arts. I imagine Lava taught her this trick as well
Hibiscus is here to investigate cases of Oripathy suddenly becoming better and then worsening. The cause of it is Kreide and Ebenholz. She pick up flute to blend in. And then the event picture is her watching Czerny's concert.

I had to pause mid bossfight just to appreciate the boss bgm, it hits so hard, its pure epicness and sounds so awesome. This event hit hard.
