I love her technique. She tends to play works at a slightly slower tempo that I'm normally accustomed but she has a superb, clean tone that is matched by few others.
No one plays this piece like Ms. A. I find it almost incomprehesible when others play it or even Les Furies. I think she is the best living violinist. There, I said it. LOL she shredded the Beethoven Op 61 xD BUT The CO STAR of this show, kids is that Zillion-dollar Strad she has under that germanic chin. Hooo boy that thing really bellows. And she handles that gourgeous tone perfectly. What a treat.
i'd like some sort of explanation from the 11 people who have so far disliked this ? Theres nothing to dislike , so why did y'all do it ?? As close to perfection as it gets .......
Well for one, it's the slowest most labored Obsession out there. Not to mention it gets slower as it goes... Add to that the fact that she presses as hard as she can the entire time and you start to see why people might not like it.
She has a good mix of amazingly rational control, a la Anna-Sophie Mutter, and also the sparkles with some emotional voltage, a la Gitly Ivris. Also, it's nice she maintains her cool composure more so than the two of her teachers.
excellent way to listen to solo violin in a small cafe! Not sure if the audience knows how lucky they are. This is not regular cafe/lounge/salon music!
I like this but I prefer the Julia Fischer encore after her performance of the Mendelssohn concerto in Paris, she just really captures the piece for me.
Just goes to show you can't please everyone. Someone found her performance of Ysaye's Les Furies too agressive; now you say she's too nice! I find she gets the balance just right, and is certainly very virtuosic!
It is not as well known as Janine Jansen and Hilary Hahn, but I see no difference technique and musical, I think she is among "the great" today, a lovely sound. And she is taking one of the most beautiful violinists I have ever seen.
When I listen to her and then otherswith others, playing the same work, they sound cluttered by comparison. Her technique and timing are flawless, of course, which enable her to open our perceptions as we journey across time, into the composer's mind.
very clean, controlled playing, but i prefer a little more wild and crazy in this piece, especially in the "obsession" parts immediately following one of the "Bach" parts. this was just a little too nice.
He was very non-conformist and nobody likes a rebel, particularly in the classical field. The 14 quartets are worth a listen : 1-3, 9 and 10 are all just beautiful. I really dig his work! I'm a street musician myself, so I suppose I shouldn't listen to all this stuff, but Paganini was a bit of a gypsy .........
+lotusbuds2000 For a piece like this, with so many string crossings, you have to keep the arm stiff and the wrist relaxed. When I learned this, and the piece it was based off of, I practiced with my arm against the wall.

Wonderful! Beautiful timing and passion, so very musical & and great pleasure. Too good for a cafe.
She is the best!! Love her playing!! *.*
I'm so happy to have a chance to hear your play.
1:25 beautiful transition there. So musical!
1:58 genius. I love the way those notes pop out. Great control of the musical line.
Einfach phantastisch!!! Eine wahnsinns Geigerin.
Tout en grâce et en douceur...
Wow. Amazing. Had to listen to this three times in a row I enjoyed it so much.
Shocking !!! Very clean performance !!! Congratulations.

wildh0rse1 I think the magic really comes out because she's a powerhouse and that strad is a powerhouse too.

Joli jeu, joli instrument, jolie femme, joli moment!
Great!

Me gusta mucho su interpretación
BRAVOOO
Nice Very Very Cool BRAVISSIMO!
Best violinist on the scene today. No contest. I haven't heard a violin played like that since Itzhak Perlman was in his prime! Brava!!
You checked out Hillary Hahn? My Favorite violinist of all time.
+Blake Jones Vengerov is the better!
charlie c Vengerov is awesome too, but Hilary Hahn all the way for me ^.^
+J Koch I am not at all musically trained yet everything I have heard her play screams not just mastery but somehow beyond this too.

crazy and magic...

when I heard the Preludio i was sooo confused😂😂😂
3:05 she acts never seen in a formal concert. :-)
1:58 👍👍👍
Buuuuuaauuuu👏🏻👏🏻
lol'd at the awkward clapping at the end.

Sounds more like Bach partita. Very solid tone, clean play, Germanish style.
I love Hilary Hahn's version, but Miss Steinbacher's slower and more vibrant rendition is captivating.
I wonder how much of her approach comes from the lessons she took with Ivry Gitlis? There is nothing pedantic, routine, and boring about her playing.
NICE

Hot as? yes, sizzling with a rare ability to nail it with perfection
Is that violin the Booth Stradivarius?
+Horacio E Velazquez yes, it is.

When she going to do some Paganini?
OME10S the concertos are as good as anything Mozart wrote but a lot harder to play - P being a bit of a show-off when all is said and done

a good "cavata"
She's hot.
アラベラさん、コンチェルトの何だか気の乗らない演奏より。ソロがいいみたい。violinが美しくきちんと鳴る。
Cafe consert should be some melody or popular pieces....not pure classical compositions...my view...
her bow arm looks so stiff

trouble in tempo..
