Photo is Sandy and another major one of the SB creators kid, the other photo is that major creators foot he tried the cut up pair on in Sandy’s office and that’s the photo he took. On a side note I’m just as excited for the socks as I am for the shoes these are a must cop whether it’s retail or resell! Thank you again Dave for your first looks!

Honestly these are super super sick, I am not a Skater but I started collecting SB dunks in 2018 mostly besucase of the history behind the shoe. I really appreciate a shoe more for the history rather than the hype, luckily I got a W from my local skate shop and I’m so excited for them to show up in my door. Great content btw 👏🏾

They’re great. Such a cool story. Like others I wonder if I can actually wear them. Might end up gifting them to a collector friend. I do like to wear/skate them typically though. Less of a collected myself.
Been waiting for this one! A sneakers I was against at first but am fully on board. The weirdness appeals to me so much.

As a sb lover and only a year into sbs I’m very fortunate to own such a iconic piece of history. Looking forward to seeing them in person. No extra laces? I saw someone put a pic of these with extra laces maybe just for show and tell lol purpose I guess. Thanks for clearing that part out. Lots of details. I wear my shoes but this one be a put up in a box for show.

I love love love, this release I remember back in like February a smaller well known SB sample collector made a small post saying that the ebays were releasing this year and I was in utter disbelief that it was actually happening. Eventually I remember seeing a sample pair of these where it had the heads of nike at the time on the insole from the auction.
But Im so excited to see these release and to add em to my collection because of how Im working on getting as many pieces of the what the dunk collection as I can and now that the ebays are coming out its actually possible to have all 33 pieces that make up that release

do the AF1 fog up? I wonder if you can sprits anti-mask fogger in there. haha like scuba mask stuff to prevent fogging.

Hey David - love your videos! I think they made the two tone outsole with Dual Injection Molding - look it up! LEGO I believe was one of the main pioneers of this technology.
yeah it has to be something like that. but dual injection molding would be pretty precise no?
I think it just depends on what the mold looks like - my guess is the spray the red first, and then while its cooling they spray the clear, so you get a little bit of that effect where it pushes into other areas. Just a thought though, would love to see a "How It's Made" on the process. Chris @ WearTesters may know!

unfortunately not. we literally are not permitted by nike to sell anything online. Nike limits their online partnerships. I think as this channel grows and as we continue to grow I think it will be hard to ignore that we should be an online dealer. we can do phone orders for things that are sitting in inventory like some blazers or nyjah etc. but something like this ..... the morning after I posted this video there were people waiting to get in the door when we opened to scoop them.
The whole sole is a clear sole, they just painted it white and red to look like it was meshed together. You can tell by the harsh lines dividing the clear from white. Looks like they used masking tape.
That’s what I would think but you can see white and red inside the clear in some areas. In most places it looks like what you’re describing but in other areas it looks like the color bleeds into the clear like you’d see in a marble.
Hoping to Cop them tomorrow. SB fan here and they are 🔥 for me

I know the Orange Lobster still has to drop, but this feels like the best way to celebrate the last month of Nike SB’s 20 year anniversary. I’ve been rocking with Nike SB since 2008 when I was 14 years old. Just so happened to catch a W at my local, which I bought my first SB Dunks from in 2009. Tons of nostalgia and history with this release. This pair is for the collectors and appreciators of the brand.

Not this year sadly. We have some other plans though. It’ll just be … down the road a bit. I had some smaller ones planned for this year but we still haven’t gotten the dang shoes to do it yet.

I just keep impressing this upon people. it's way easier to hit at a shop than it is to hit online. its still not easy but if you have a local shop your odds of hitting on an in store raffle are dramatically better.

I agree, the story behind these are awesome! But to me it feels less like a wearable shoe and more like a collectors item. So they're beautiful, but on a pedestal, not on feet...

Not this time! We did orange lobster tees a while back just guessing on the next color but we’re not dropping them this year
They use small pellets of plastic that are poured into a mold of the sole. So that is why none of them will be exactly the same.

I was thinking the exact same thing when David pulled the shoe out of the box. It was there all along but the thought finally hit me watching this video, the Sandy Ebay Dunk IS the colors on the striped box. And it seems like a logical conclusion to the Striped Box Era. I'm glad someone else got those same vibes.

@@rabitaill22 Yes, with the P-Rod highs and Travis's being two of the very first ones. I've also heard that those Strangeloves were supposed to be put in that striped box as well but they hadn't, due to some sort of production issues back in the day. It's definitely a shame IMO considering how pivotally both the Strangeloves and the Travis's acted in the resurgence of SB Dunks from the start of 2020.

I'm pretty sure the "SB" logo on the heel and on the socks is actually for Sandy Bodecker and not Nike SB. The shoe is called the "Sandy" officially by Nike so that makes the most sense.
Sb stands for sandy bodecker so it's essentially the same thing
People assumed it stood for skateboarding but it doesn't. Nike sb was originally designed to be a basketball shoe
we were always told it stood for Skateboarding Brand by Nike back in the day. but it was always rumored that it stood for Sandy Bodecker. I think when SB came out it would have turned skaters off to have a non-skater identified with the brand so even if it does stand for Sandy Bodecker they always told shops back in the day that it was Nike Skateboarding Brand.
@David Bluetile well I understand on any other Nike SB that the "SB" stands for Skateboarding but for that specific shoe being called the "Sandy" and being inspired by his story it makes sense that the logo on that specific pair being for "Sandy Bodecker".

It be cool if skaters could actually get their hands on a pair of sb dunks. For the life of me I don't understand why they don't just make some GR dunks that are always in production and are easily accessible. Every sb dunk has to be some limited run or collaboration that's gonna sell out it seconds and be resold for way over retail value.
Look for sweet beet dunks. We have a few in stock in small and larger sizes but there will likely be some sweet beet dunks or some forest green dunks at your local. There will be black and white dunks releasing in the spring that are restockable.
Kinda want a pair to run through the bandsaw 😂

Does anyone here know HOW or WHERE to find these @ for a FAIRLY REASONABLE price by chance?..found a COUPLE of pairs on eBay HOWEVER..BOTH pairs aren't MY PERSONAL SIZE or even anywhere CLOSE to a size 12 in men's..not to mention(of course) the cheapest pair of the two is ONLY a size 7.5/7 1/2 in men's with no box and there STILL asking I think it was like $770 or $780 @ the time(as of when I checked them a couple days ago) which of COURSE isn't ANYTHING NEW OR UNEXPECTED given the fact that everyone buys shoes all the time at retail and resells on places LIKE eBay by price gouging like a MF..I REALLY WANT a pair for myself(NOT to skate in but just to ACTUALLY wear)but cant bring myself to pay those price gouging prices like THAT for a pair of shoes when I got TWO kids that could practically have there WHOLE Christmas presents and all covered in FULL with THAT type of money..if I could find a good deal on them around 3-4 hundred in MY size(give or take a half size)then I would DEFINITELY consider it but at 7 to 8 hundred bucks a pop due to price gouging prices..I just CAN'T live with myself knowing that I got a "house note" or "full months mortgage"on my feet EVERY single time I wear them when realistically..all it would take is ONE single time for ONE of my kids(or anyone else in public etc)to SIMPLY just trip or something an step on even just ONE of them(whether it be by accident OR on purpose) and BOOM!.....ONE SINGLE SCUFF MARK would throw that 7 to 8 hundred bucks RIGHT down the drain just like THAT...I wouldn't be able to live with myself if some shit like THAT happened lol
I think most of the pairs should be in the market by now. we hit up our raffle winners this morning. usually the price drops a bit once all the pairs hit the market.

The story is way bigger than the lobster story. The eBay dunk is the dunk that started all the dunk madness. More people were into the lobster because it’s more wearable but any longtime collector is going to lean towards the eBay in my opinion.
The story is cool but those cuts do nothing for me . Wish we had got a retro of the OG and they just gave Sandy his own unique colorway.

@@DavidBluetile im a big fan of ebay I liked the og because they payed homage to a website that most of us bought out first pairs of SB dunks on . The idea of chopping them up and making them 1 of 1 was always dumb to me. Would much rather have a GR release ,who cares about the rich collector that has the only pair in existence.
